one question: how come the LS6 torque never hits 400? The torque peak #s for LS2 and LS6 should be the same right? Well, not in this graph..i think they got the LS1 and LS2 torque comparisons and LS2 and LS6 Hp curves...
There are way too many variables involved to make such a statement. Airflow improvements, port configurations, compression ratio, exhaust flow improvements and PCM tuning.

That chart is plotted at every 500 RPM with a spline calculation to guess all of the points in between. Thus, there is a slight fudge factor in the chart the further you get from each 500 RPM point.
I made this chart based on the one photographed at the NCM.
Edit: Upon reviewing my source material, GM's own chart shows the LS6's torque topping out at 390.
Additionally, there is no possible way that I mixed in the LS1 stats. First, because I didn't even have a picture of the LS1/LS2 comparison when I made this chart. Secondly, because I personally calculated the HP plot points from the torque plot points for the sake of relative accuracy.
