Received owners manual and NAV supplement today (both quite involved) I think on page 6-12 there may be an error -
it indicates that DEXRON 111 should be used in the 6 speed-Can't be right??? It's been a while since my last vette -did I miss something?

THANKS FOR THE INPUT -I LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERYDAY- MY LAST VETTE WAS A 73 COUPE 4 SPEED - I GUESS I SHOWING MY AGE
C6vette, they use the lighter oil for fuel economy, which was not much of a consideration back then. Those old Muncies certainly did last though. I had a M21 in a Z28, and that thing never broke. I swear it shifted the same 10 years after I got it (used no less). Do you still have the '73?
mike,
no. I sold my 73 coupe in 1981. Car is still around. Talk to the new owner every few years. I wll call him when my c6 arrives hopefully late august early sept. like to take a few pixs of the 2 cars side by side! I sold the car with about 72000 miles on it, I'll bet their is less than 80000 on it now. Thats 8000 miles in the last 23 years!
Car cost $6100 brand new (L48 engine)- My c6 will be just under $60000! 30 years from now do you think a new 2035 vette will go for $600,000! SCARY!
