Default Show Me Your Lowered C6...

Title says it all-can they be lowered the same way a C5 was (I'm guessing yes)...?

A C6 is already low to the ground! Why would you want to make it even lower?

No it isn't.

It still has the 4-wheel drive look that most 'vettes come with, to include my C5. 1-inch on any American car makes a huge difference in it's looks and handling

Until the front air dam starts scooping up acorns into the radiator because you don't have enough ground clearance to clear them. I will agree to one thing. Lower a C6 and you are bound to get more looks... from people in parking lots turning their heads looking for the orange traffic cone you just ran over as you scrape every entrance in town.

I'm not talking slammed-cut bushings and bigger bolts. Lowered to the factory stops-3/4-1 inch. Trust me-the C6 is high in the saddle

Oh, and if I wanted a BMW X5 or Porche Cayenne-I'da' got one!!

Default Do You Actually Own A C6?

My C6 scrapes the front end every time I enter or exit my driveway.

I can't imagine how I could get into my driveway if it were any lower.

What you are scraping is the plastic/rubber area under the nose-basically designed to scrape-and rebound. Under extreme conditions, they are designed to break away, and cost about $100 to replace all three places. It is also one of the reasons the C5/6 are so aerodynamic.

Lowering is good for the track, not the streets.

??? We are not talking slammed 1 inch of ground clearence. A 'vette lowered to it's bolt stops is still higher than many other production sports cars, and you need to worry more about your BMW front spoiler (which breaks) as opposed to a C5/6 which flexes and bends.

Slamming a 'vette car can be bad for suspension/high speed aerodynamics-lowering to the bolts is how it should have been factory
