Very happy to receive my Corsa sport 2 tips yesterday from Tbyrne. Very unhappy to find dents in the edges of both exhaust tips (probably caused by improper packaging by Corsa). Even unhappier to be told by Tbyrne this morning that I should take pictures of them with a digital camera! WTF????
Shouldn't a vendor immediately arrange for return shipping of damaged merchandise, then promptly get out a replacement? Has anyone else run into this?
There is a procedure that has to be followed to take care of this. Pictures would be very helpful to show us what the tips look like on your end. Seeing that there isn't any damage to the box Corsa needs to inspect them before sending out a replacement. Don't worry, we'll get it all worked out for you

Had a similar problem with Foot Joy golf shoes. Been buying Etonic ever since. Tbyrne, shame on you.
Um... we're going to take care of the situation. Just need to follow proceedure so everything can be done correctly. The system has to come back to us, we'll look it over and then sent it out to Corsa so they can replace the times. We'll also be crediting him back for the return shipping after everything checks out. It's a simple proceedure

I hope you have a digital camera? If you don't do you have to go buy one? Just wondering?
A "simple" return procedure would involve:
1) A courteous "we're sorry" on the initial phone call, rather than the cold reception I received
2) Believing the customer that merchandise is damaged without having to take pictures. Why, after waiting to be one of the first to have the C6 exhaust system, would I want to send it back to exchange it if it wasn't damaged?
3) The vendor arranging return shipping, rather than having to call UPS myself and charge my own credit card (yes, they did say they will reimburse me)
Not blaming Tbyrne for the damage, they didn't pack the product. Just think the return could've been handled in a more customer friendly manner.

I actually heard the call this morning and didn't see a problem with it. Carol explained what needed to be done. You then told her that you weren't going to put them on your car damaged (she didn't say you had to). Corsa has had problems with situations like this before so they require pictures or the actual product for inspection before they will send out a replacement. This is what they told us to do to take care of the situation so we have to follow their policy.

By sheer coincidence, I, also talked to Carol today at Tbyrne, to place an order for, and arrange installation of some Billy Boats. I found her most helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. If she is representative of Tbyrne, in general, I am sure the installation will just as good.

It's easy in any retail business to be nice when you're taking an order. What distinguishes the good retailers from the rest is how a problem after the sale is handled.

That is very true! The customer also has to remember that a good attitude is also helpful in resolving the issue quickly and easily. I've had problems with things in the past and wanted to go into the store or call the merchant and start complaining but I knew that wouldn't help my outcome. The situation goes along easiler with everyone being friendly.
A simple "we're sorry" goes a long way. But let's leave it here, I'm too busy trying to make money (to buy other corvette goodies) to keep watching this thread. I'm sure Tybrne will do the right thing. I look forward to having my new exhaust system in a timely matter and forgetting about this.
