We're going to need it shortly.
We have the blower on, most of the ducting figured out have a pretty cool idea about the intercooler placement.
The balancer was a piece of cake to swap out as the steering rack almost fell out of the car.
It won't be ready for production but I might have mine running on Friday. It will definitely take some tweaking to make it aesthetically pleasing.
We're welding tubes and bracket parts together just to make it work at this point.
I want to make sure we can fuel it with the existing injectors and pump before sinking a lot of time and money into production balancers, brackets etc.

Did you guys swap out to an aftermarket balancer? Curious how that works with the AFM given the OEM one is so big to combat harmonics. Or, do you have to ditch AFM with the boosted application so air isn't getting crammed onto the back side of the valves?

I turned it off in my own car just because it was annoying.
I watched gas mileage as it switched from 8 to 4 cylinders and really didn't see much change.
I don't think that one would need to turn it off unless, as in my case, it just annoyed you. It is only activated at very low throttle settings. It would turn off before any boost pressure was actually seen.
I would think most performance enthusiasts that were willing to spend the money on a supercharger would probably turn it off anyway.
I also have a 2014 Jeep SRT as my shop truck. It's the same with that. I don't see much difference between 4 and 8 cylinder mode. I really wish I had tuning software available to get rid of it. It's really annoying.
As for the balancer- suffice it to say that I have balancers that work and have the appropriate 8 grooves for the supercharger. The other guys can figure out where to get them on their own.

C'mon Andy don't tease us and then show no pictures!
Why does the balancer have to be replaced? And can you confirm that the factory crank is pinned already?

The front and back of the factory belt is grooved to run the accessories.
We are running a dedicated belt for the blower that requires it's own grooved section on the balancer.

The crankshaft is keyed. It's about time!
So if im reading this right, does that mean its going to be a 8 rib direct drive out of the box? Dedicated blower belt? Gotta say that would be sweet, no more spending $700 for direct drive kits to get rid of belt slip with small pulleys....

I can't wait to see what a production car does with some boost!
BTW, shouldn't be too much longer before we crack the 14 SRT8s and you can disable MDS
Another boosted C7 in the works this weekend down here in florida. Should be an interesting weekend. Looking forward to see you project Andy...should be sweet, can't wait for pics.

Absolutely. It's a really short belt, too. I have some coming tomorrow.

I've actually been meaning to call you about hand held tuners for my CARB legal kits.
I am going to build a kit for the SRT as well. I'm just waiting on you.

I would offer both. Maybe the Ti can be the "tuner" kit for guys that want to pulley down and hit it hard. Just depends on what the fuel system will support.

It's just another thing to turn off, I currently don't have a corvette right now, but the 1st thing I would always do in all my vettes was turn off the TC, it became subconscious , I have a gen 2 viper ACR currently and still to this day catch myself looking for the TC button, that doesn't exist in the car.
I'm a procharger guy so I'll have to research the vortec blowers a bit, but what are you thoughts on differences? I've run prochargers P1SC and D1SC and liked the D1 much better. IMO, a good centri is best in these motors. I'm actually putting a F1R on my mustang now but that's nothing I would want to do to the C7.
