Looking to mod car this summer.. which option will be better??
Option 1.. port heads.. cam.. lower pulley..halltech.. arh headers and x pipe.. meth.. port blower..
Or
Port heads.. cam.. arh headers and x pipe.. meth.. and f1x procharger..
Won't the f1x kill option 1 ?? Thoughts??

750whp or if you go F1 then you need to turn it up to over 900 in my opinion to make it worth it.
Raced an 800whp F1A and beat it with 730ish at the wheels with my 1.7. Different blower type and HP/TQ curve.
You need to turn those prochargers up to make it worth it.
Cost on A is maybe 10-15k. Cost on B is 20-25k unless you install yourself.

Agreed.. the car was not meant for a centri blower.. it just seems wrong.. and people are hyping the builds but not seeing much out there to prove the centri route is better.. if I am getting smoked still I'll put a 100 or 200 shot then..lol..

For what it's worth reliability should be better with A as well.

That's very true... I'm sure there are some high mileage centri cars, but I've seen slot of centri headunit that needed to be sent in after about 25k miles and they weren't even spun hard...
For what it's worth eaton has a better reliability track record even against the other PD companions (whipple/KB) from what I've seen

And what's your thoughts on porting stock blower or getting the tvs 2300?? Not hearing good results on the 2300s.

Tvs yields no more then 50-75 more whp with the same mods. Save your 8k

I love how pd blowers feel on the street, we have max'd them out and made mid 700 rwhp easily and if the customer want's more put some nitrous on top of it. The centri setup's are not that great unless your going big power imo.

Why can't they make a pd blower that makes more power then 800whp to me 800whp is all this car needs is very fast imo
If they can make a pd blower 1000whp that's would be the best thing out

Plus why does everyone jump right to an X? Unless you want 1300+ do a F1A/R etc.

I've made 786 rwhp in a magnuson kit on a base C7. Stock heads and throttle body.

They do, they just don't fit corvettes. The placement of the engine/cowl doesn't allow the large PD blowers.
