Just got my '16 z51 A8 at the beginning of the year. I'm new to this so any knowledge on what where when how is an awesome plus.

Looking to save up for a blower and other mods. Curious on estimated pricing for everything + install tune. More specifically near OKC area (where I live).

I work quite a bit so traveling is limited for me. My list of mods would be:

Supercharger (undecided on brand)
ARH LT 1 7/8 or Kooks LT
Alky Meth
Install and tune.

I'm more then certain the Hp/Tq gain would be more than adequate for me. Once this is done then maybe I'll look into more. It's somewhat a daily drive/road trip car. Sorry if I'm vague but I'll try to clarify...like I say I'm new so any knowledge/experience is much appreciated.

Theres waaaaayyyyy more to it than that to do e85. You actually need meth to do e85 in most cases. E85 setups on the c7 require way more fuel. Lt4 high pressure fuel pump and injectors and usually a secondary low pressure pump as well.

to the OP. If you are planning to buy your own parts and have a shop install and tune them, then you're looking at probably about $2500-$3000 in labor and tune. You'll have ~ 700 rwhp car depending on how much boost you run. 650-700 without a doubt.

Plus availability of e85. I would never build a car that required e85, as you don't know when/if it will go away. Arizona just switched to e54, so if someone built a car that "needed" e85, they are now screwed. If you want to run ethanol, run flex fuel and keep setup mild enough that it can run on pump or e85 or anything in between, just with a power difference.

Hard to believe Chevy doesn't already have Flex Fuel on their Corvettes. Sounds like another good investment to consider along with everything.

It's not as complicated as you make it sound

To run e85 you need about double your fueling
Don't need meth, once again e85 is 85% alcohol, meth is 100%

If it goes away just run pump gas and tune for it , you will have huge injectors left over

Though once you do e85 you get hooked on it, 85% alcohol at the pump, for a dollar less per gallon than 83. guys online are buying it in barrels if thier state doesn't carry it

The problem is that you can't just replace injectors on the DI engine like you could in previous year models.

I run flex fuel, have had nothing but e85 in the car for past 18 months. 2 weeks ago Arizona switched with no notice to E54. Now everyone that isn't flex fuel is having to get retuned, and mess with their cars. A huge pain in the *** for a lot of people. For people who did 14:1 compression and crazy builds, they now have to order e85 in barrels for $7 a gallon.

'How do you propose pumping twice the fuel through the stock injectors? Even the LT4 ones aren't that much bigger than LT1. On top of that, meth is using separate nozzles so it's additive 100% alcohol.

OP, your thread went a little sideways, but the answers you need are here in this forum. I made my decision based on the info here. I'm going A&A, but its not nearly the only good choice. Some have package deals for just what you're looking for. Pricing varies based on whether you go PD or Centri, and whether you install or the shop does. Many of the shops/supporting vendors are here as well, so my advice is to find some time to do some reading. There are other C7 forums out there, but I've found this one to be the best.

It's welcomed lol. I enjoy reading...learn more everyday. It's actually a good debate on which is better.

I enjoy the advices too. I'm love the hell put of my z51 and the mods is a dream. Can't imagine what it's like with 200 more hp. He'll even 70 rwhp lol.

He's just doing simple math. He's obviously not done his due diligence on the LTx platform just yet.

Please do not listen to the guy saying just do E85, it takes a lot to run e on these cars and we have some of the most experience around doing it on them. I can help you put together a solid package for your goals and work with you on finding a tuner in that area or just bring the car to us for install/tune or just tune if you want to DIY.

If you do not install it yourself then you are looking in the area of $12,000 give or take.

???

Who pays that?

If its a PD blower maybe but for a Centri 5K for the kit, $700-800 for the install, $500 for the tune.

Add about 1200 for the meth between kit and install.

Headers are what $1800 plus install and its already at the shop?

I don't know where you're getting those numbers lol

Here a kit is in the area of 7k for a centri, 2k for install and 800 for a tune.

So with meth thats about $10,500

and headers are $2500 so in the area of 13,000 out the door.
