Fuel Rail pressure dropped approaching higher RPM's....it was running out of fuel with Stock LT1 injectors and pump....needed to upgrade....side benefit...I'm all set if I ever want to go higher....Why would I want to do that?...

We have decided to go ahead and slap a Jokerz ported LT4 blower on our Grand Sport. Hell I have all the parts here. Midas well save some money and rep the product

I was thinking the same. All other installs done on this forum did not use upgrade injectors and fuel pump.....feeling it was unnecessary. OP seemed to shy away when ask about the cost which leads me to believe it costed just as much or more than the aftermarket superchargers . I am with Seannyc on this one. I haven't done this install as of yet ........just interested.

Total cost was just under 8k. That includes the 1500.00 for the upgraded injectors and HPFP. All in all no more expensive than an Eforce....

Not shy..When dyno tuning was first done, the fuel rail pressure was dropping...Give Ben at Weapon X a call...he can explain why the upgrade of the injectors and fuel pump was necessary.

I wanted to do a quick recap of my experience of having a Z06 Supercharger installed on my 2015 Z51 Stingray.
I bought the used and already ported LT4 supercharger "complete kit" (Blower, Heat Exchanger and Water pump, LT1 to LT4 adapter plates, Z06 balancer, Z06 tensioners) from a forum member who bought it from a Z06 owner who had a Procharger installed. The used blower was from a 2016 Z06 with 900 miles on it at the time of take off.
I took the car down to Weapon X Motorsports in Cincinnati, OH. They do so much work with C7 Corvettes, 6th Gen Camaros, and other LS type engines, it made sense to have them do the install. I was right! It was an awesome experience all throughout the entire process.
Here are some pictures taken during the install.
One of the main reasons I chose to go this route (vs. Procharger or Edelbrock) was to make it look as factory as possible...and I believe it does!
I wanted to change the wording on top of the supercharger to something other than "LT4 Corvette" So I contacted Emblempros.com and had custom cover plates made!!
Although I bought a "complete kit" that included the following parts....
1.) LT4 Blower,
2.) Heat Exchanger, Water pump and Reservoir
3.) LT1 to LT4 adapter plates
4.) Z06 balancer
5.) Z06 tensioners
The install needed a bunch more parts and accessories to complete the install...For all those contemplating going this route....Here are all the items that had to be purchased to make the install complete:
1.) Z06 air intake. I decided to go with a Halltech intake.
2.) New Brisk Sparkplugs
3.) LT4 MAP sensor
4.) Custom LT1 to LT4 MAP and IAT Sensor adapter harness
5.) Gates Supercharger drive belt
6.) Various fittings and bolts.
7.) Coolant for Heat Exchanger
8.) Rubber hoses for adapting to new PCV system
9.) Custom 12V relay and wiring harness for Z06 intercooler pump
10.) Supercharger oil
11.) Modified LT4 Valley Plate
The stock fuel system was not quite enough so....
12.) Z06 Fuel injectors
13.) Z06 High Pressure Fuel Pump
Final before and after Dyno numbers are quite impressive!!!
610 Tq / 570 Hp at the wheel! or around 732 Tq / 684 Hp at the crank
The car drives fantastic and has amazing power down low...It is a different car! I love it!!!
The total cost was very similar to having an Edelbrock Eforce installed....with far more power and a totally stock look!
All in all, I am very happy! Ben, Blake, and Jeremy from Weapon X Motorsports are fantastic!! I am sure I will be back down there for more upgrades later in the year....

It's now been over a month so I thought I would report back on how the car has been performing.
Here is a quick recap.
1. Totally different car! Tons more power under 4000rpm! Boost comes on strong...all the way up to 11-12psi...Throttle response is much improved.
2. No more V4 mode! Don't miss it.
3. After driving it for a month I took it back to Weapon X because of some surging during partial acceleration (50-70%) They were able to adjust some tune parameters and the surging is gone.
4. Going to need bigger tires....lol!
5. Exhaust note is MUCH louder after the blower install!
6. Love the factory look!
7. IAT2/MAT temps get pretty hot 180-190 range..If sitting in traffic or when heavy on the throttle for a long stretch. I'm sure that the fact that there is not much air movement under the hood with the stock stingray hood does not help..I guess this is the inherited heat soak issue from the Z06....Next trip to Weapon X will be for their track attack heat exchanger and expansion tank. (AND...ARH headers!)
8. Had some tuning done on the A8 to delay the upshift to 7th and 8th gear....The car was always hurrying into those gears and then would "bog". Also had the downshift times quickened going from 8-7 and 7-6....Way better! No changes to shift times or pressures.
9. Bought a MMS Mild Z06 catch can/breather....Will work on installing this soon.
10. Bought the insulator sock for the Halltech intake...hope that will help with the IAT temps
All in all I have no regrets! An awesome upgrade that I am very happy with!

I thought by running the stock LT1 cam you would be able to keep the variable timing and have it shut down to a V4? Was it a tune that made you loose it?
