I'm looking at doing a 305/35/19 ET Street SS in the rear. Anyone have any experience with that?

I know guys running them and they work very well. I'm now running the 305/40/18 MT ET Street SS in the rear which is a much taller tire, but can tell you the compound of the tire is awesome and they hook VERY well.

I've heard that they are basically the grippiest DR you can buy and will hook great, but I've also seen a lot of reports that they get very sketchy at high speeds towards the end of the 1/4 on our cars. I stayed away from this for that reason alone, but not everyone is having that issue.

I've got the 325/30/19 MT ET Street SS. They hook very well on the street, but move around quite a bit over 120 mph.

I've only made 2 passes on them and didn't notice any negative movement with trap speeds of 139 and 141. I ran 20 lbs of pressure and didn't do a huge burn out. I also launched easy in fear of breaking the rear diff until RPM gets the built ones out. We'll see how they feel in the half mile in a few weeks. I may have a different perspective and may take my 20's on R888 as well just in case, but I think with a lil more pressure they'll do fine.

That's good to hear. I almost shat myself at my first half mile event on the MTs. Sounds crazy, but many claim that MTs are more stable at lower pressures and 18-20 psi seems to be the sweet spot.

I may be in the same boat here in the half mile in a couple weeks. I'll report back whether I soil my britches or not.
