With the ECS 1500 kit, is it fairly common to run without the restrictor plate, meth injection and no headers. I know the headers are ideal to most and will bring down the boost restriction along with yielding some additional gains, however is fine to run this combo?

Anyone have any real world results for this type of setup along with reliability?

Long and short of it; P1 was maxed out RPM wise, made around 650. We pulled the entire kit off and installed the ECS 1500 amd got about 100 rwhp higher.

I forget the exact numbers but the customer was very happy to make the switch to the ECS kit.

I personally cap stock manifolds at under 700 rwhp, preferably 650.

Can anyone provide any update or results related to the ECS transmission cooler which is a requirement for the 15+ c7 A8 models?

This is an additional 300 dollar requirement and I would like to understand what I'm getting back on my money and how to install this. I've reviewed the current install guide located on the ECS website but makes no mention of the transmission cooler install.

What type of real world results can I expect with this trans cooler? Does this cooler mitigate the notorious limp mode issues when driving the c7 hard on the track?

It is WELL worth it and it WORKS! The only thing on my car that didn't overheat at Watkins Glen this summer in the Advanced Run Group was the transmission! It was 95 degrees ambient and the trans remained well within its normal operating temps ( the engine coolant and oil temps were stratospheric though). My car was the first one they did from my understanding, and it was well executed with zero issues. I highly recommend it even if you don't track your car.

Following up on the trans cooler piece. I've reviewed the current install guide located on the ECS website but makes no mention of the transmission cooler install.

Is the trans cooler located in the front or rear of the car? Does the ECS trans cooler replace the existing cooler located in front of the radiator on 15+ c7's? Pictures would also be a plus.

I'll work on that for you.

Doug I know a while back you stated 100 rwhp gain but without a Dyno, it's hard to believe a maxed p1sc was only making 650 rwhp on a cammed, meth car. Specially since I made 560-570 whp only spinning it to 50k rpm with a 4.25 pulley (max 65k with a 3.4 pulley). Does it just run out of steam? Is it that far out of it's efficiency range?
