Default F1x vs f1A what's better

Got a a8 z and wondering what's the difference and what's better between the two head units I know the F1x is bigger I'm considering going with that but I heard the f1A is more streetable and ideal for cruising so I've been told can I get filled in on this ?? Thanks

Depends on your goals and application. For <1100rwhp I would do the F1A. If you are shooting for 1200+ then do the F1X.

I run a F1R. I think the A may make power quicker?
When I hit 4500-5000rpm, it's like getting rear ended! It straight up hauls ***

You need to talk to your tuner first. Go with what they recommend

Man if you have the parts in the car go with the F1X due to it comes on in the higher RPM range with will let you paddle the car a ton less than the YSI & the f1a. I have not had r rode in the f1r.

But loved the F1X over the other 2 in the c5. If I ever went high rwhp again unless something else comes out better it will be the F1X hands down. I had build a RHS 427 with TF 245 heads & F1X on it per say mid of the road cam with a 3200 stall. Safe tune with meth big 2nd fuel system when in boost made almost 1200 rwhp & had good more in it.

The F1X also come in about the same RPM range. I never ran the 1/2 mile r the mile run. But in the 1/4 that dam thing was just beginning to pull really hard.: Robert

Talk to your builder and consider your end game... I spoke with procharger and tuner and they both recommended the A8 and F1R was best match for my goals.
F1X is overkill on most of these street cars. As is the R, **** stangklr is making 1200whp, 1500 on spray through STOCK LT1 heads and F1A94.

F1a-94 is what I have. It's a newer version of the f1a. It has a bigger wheel and pushes more air and can easily make over 1000whp. I believe it's the biggest one besides the f1x and much more streetable

I'd put a YSI on it for anything under 1100 rwhp... Makes the same power as an F Series and takes way less boost to get it there. (less parasitic loss). Plus they come on quick and are reliable blowers. Ofcourse you'll need an A&A kit or ECS kit to get one.

I had an F1R for 5 years. They come on real hard when pullied to the max, but they peter out up top.... About 950 rwhp or so and they are done. F1A-94 will make a lot more.

Thanks for the feedback I think the f1A-94 be what I'm looking for I only wanna make 750whp to much problems when you hit over the 800 mark I know to many guys that are scared to to let their cars rip because they think they'll break em and they make north of 800whp

I wouldn't do any F series blower for 750-800rwhp.

Novi 1500 or D1SC will get there and work better at that range. No reason to go F series for <800.

Yup. You want the blower to be in its efficiency range. Talk to your tuner man. They'll set you up good

i would go alot higher but between how complicated tuning these cars with big hp numbers and the fact that the trans wont handle it sucks i figure a f series be perfect for when im ready for more with supporting mods its their

The A8 is holding 'big' power quite well. The A8-not-shifting seems to have been figured out by tuners. With your goals, the F1X or 94 shouldn't even be considered, nor any F series as Unreal said. If you are wanting to turn up in the future an F1A will be able to make plenty of power.

D1X IMO. 900rwhp with ease. Great power band.

Then again I would just do a Ti-trim and call it a day. ECS kit with novi 1500.
