Alky Meth Pump/LED
I'm hoping someone can chime in who's experienced this before. I just replaced my Alky Meth pump because it was leaking, and I also did not get a green LED, which I'm assuming because the pump seals have deteriorated and thus got lower pump pressure.
Anyhow, I replaced the pump this morning and test drove it. It "feel" like its working (no stumbling or hesitation), and the red LED does illuminate, but the green LED never does. My engine peaks at 9 psi which I got up to twice during the run.
I don't have a means to check pressure. I did remove the line from the nozzle and ran it into a water bottle both at the 5.5 setting and 8. It appears to run fine but the green LED never illuminates. If I plug the line the green LED does illuminate, so I know that function is working. The green LED did function as advertised before the original pump began to leak.

Well, for the sake of sharing information. I will say that Julio at Alky is awesome. Apparently, while I thought I purged the system enough through the nozzle, I pulled the line off the nozzle and purged it that way. All is good. Green LED is a GO!

Yup! I've had that same issue and exact same conversation with Julio. The guy is very supportive. Rare actually.

Just replaced my first pump. Mine lasted about 7 months. No rain just heat here in AZ. CPR did the swap in less than 20 mins and did it under warranty. I noticed Meth on the floor in the garage after backing the car out. Did not notice a performance drop off.

I'm in Arizona and zero issues with pump after 4 years. Swapped in a new one, and sent original in for rebuild which is cheap, like $65 or something. Should get a solid 2-3 years out of a pump.

I had one bad out of the box. Was leaking from day 1 and was replaced under warranty. Pump head was leaking. The second one started leaking a couple of months later so I replaced that myself but determined it was the fittings this time. Kept it as a spare for when the current one goes.
Julio is the best.
