Default N20 question

How much n20 i can spray on fully stock 2018 z06 A8 + tune off course ?

im thinking to do 150 shots .
do i need any supporting mods to do 150 ?

i thought its just better to go this way than to spend 5-10k on boltons and get 100 whp or so and the other reason is that i want the car to run just like stock and spray n20 when needed maybe once a month or in a drag racing if i ever go .

thanks in advaced

All i can tell, go to a procharger setup if you have the money, much safer than nitrous and you will like it way better than nitrous, even when you want to sell it, its much easier to sell it than a nitrous setup

Good luck

procharger are awesome but the only thing i hate is the noise they make , however if im going to pay this much money on an upgrade it would be the new ZR1 2650 Supercharger not sure if theyre going to be dirct bolton but to me it worth the wait.
thanks

I went with A&A SC, made my car so much funner to drive as a DD even when not going into full boost you can feel the power increase. I am running at a conservative boost of 7# plus meth injection that only sprays when under full boost. $6k investment and love it, best bang for the buck. 610 whp, 545 torque

thinking similar setup, question for you, how often would you say your filling the meth tank say under spirited daily driving? Thanks!

N20 is fine for a drag strip run, but daily street driving you will regret it. A 10 lbs bottle is maybe 3 hits. The bottle needs to be heated for it to flow effectively, you’ll want the bottle closed and have an automatic bottle opener & a purge system. Not conducive if your driving and have a impromptu race. You’ll get your *** handed to you while your frantically trying to remember if your bottle is open, if you have suitable pressure, did you purge after you did all that and the hit the button only to find out your tank has 500lbs pressure and no gain in hp.

I speak from experience with my 04 GTO and 150hp shot. Honestly I would never do it again.

It’s doable and runs just fine. I personally don’t like the sound of Centris either I just as soon go with a whipple and port injection myself if I wanted a bigger SC.
Im at 700rw motor only which is fast enough for most the action. Usually anything with higher hp than it’s setup in advance so you have time to hit the bottle warmer and open the valve (which is easily within reach) just get a good setup and you’ll be fine!
I have NX controller monitoring everything LPE timing retarder, and utilizing spray bars. I actually love my setup and when used it’s instant badassery!
goid luck!!

Would appear to me that a controler is essential for any kind of NOS power addition. Would think you need more than a Tune to retard timing enough when it's activated.

Since my 17 year old ProStreet Rod mostly goes to Shows now and I have to compete in ProStreet category as it's tubbed, I am competing with folks having 8-71's etc!

Added this NOS system and all the right hardware BUT can't retard the timing nearly enough without a controller! Never added! So unlike my usual feelings of not adding for "looks." It's there for Looks. Have not missed at least a class trophy!

Would also think you need to connect a blowoff tube in case on a hot day the bursting disk lets loose! Would not want to be driving with a passenger compartment filled to Nitrous!. Do you have one?

Added a blowoff tube "Just in Case!" Gets hot in the sun!

Have the 502 cid Chevy all set for nitrous BUT never added a needed controller!

remove factory cats and id say you could hit it with a pretty good shot on the NX lid kit. direct injection motor isn't going to lose rail pressure on a 250 shot like a port injection system would. ligenfelter makes a timing controller to pull timing only when nitrous armed and you'll keep full timing otherwise. I don't think spraying a car with factory cats is a great idea though.

Default Proof is in the pudding

here you go! Spray bars in the lid, LPE retarder, controller set on timer, 300shot jetting but controller only set to 50%. Result 9.86 @143 have other mods of course but N2O will give you that added punch!
