ECS blower sound and function
I just bought a C7..I have an ECS and I don't like the sound. It doesn't have the whir sound, more like a metal grinding sound. There isn't anything wrong with it, works ,but its not like hearing it and putting a smile on my face.. Also, I'm rarely at 3,500 rpm. so , it kind of defeats the purpose. Has anyone else experienced this?

Make sure it has enough oil. If it's low it might be causing that grinding sound. The Paxton blowers aren't very loud though, they come with helical cut gears which is an option on the Prochargers.

Yea the novi1500 doesn't have that big blower whine at all. Took me some getting used to. Something you could do is change the blow off valve just to get some more noise going for you. 
When I upgraded to the 2200X is when I got the blower whine I expected.

Some head units come with straight cut gears with are noisy and some head units can be specified with helical cut gears which are much quieter. Sounds like you have the straight cut gears.

If it was the 2200 that blower is way louder. I had the 1500 which the OP has and it was really quiet and I had the quieter BOV. When I went to the 2200X I put the big red BOV on it and it sounded like a damn airplane. I loved it.
