Default How Soon Can I Order A C7 (serious question)

I am in the process of paying off my C6 and will be keeping that and not trading it in. I will have a good down payment to put down on a C7 whenever it comes out. How soon do the dealerships let you reserve and/or order a Corvette? My C6 was my first new Corvette and I bought it off the showroom floor, so I have never ordered a Corvette before. Are some Internet or Forum dealerships already taking reservations? If so, I would like to put mine in. I just didn't want to go to my local dealership now and look like a big idiot with "premature e-orderization"

Thanks for your input!

What I remember on my C-6, the dealer will take deposits.
About 1,000 or 1,500 or more, for 1st in line or there after.

But the MSRP is set by factory. Dealer may or may not add market adjustment (meaning higher) to MSRP.

This all happens with GM give OK to start accepting orders.

Its a real ride.

I order mine 4 months after the intro.

1st one came out about June July 04

I ordered mine in Oct 04 received in Jan 05.

Hope this help.

Go to work for AT&T Mobility. As employees, we get an instant $6,000.00 off all Vettes beside Z06 and ZR-1 .

Are you refering to the GM supplier program?

why do you want to to put a downpayment on something that you do not even know what it will look like?

I suspect so, though...

The GMS price discount was closer to $10,000 when I purchased my car, and the GMS discounts did indeed extend to the Z06's. The problem with the Z06 wasn't that GM didn't offer GMS discounts on the Z06, it was that the dealers wouldn't even entertain the idea of selling a car that was routinely getting a $10,000 market adjustment for under MSRP (which is understandable, we all like money, I'd roll around in piles of it if I could).

I wonder if they dropped the Z06 from their list, I'll have to check that out when I get to work next week.

Um, because I'm a real Corvette person, and I know I will love it whatever it looks like?

dont even worry about it. no one know when it is even going to come out. id say you are still 3-4 model years away. just relax and keep saving for 2-3 more years.
