Default C6.5 Mid Engine option

Hey Guys Thought you might want to see the Mid-engine Corvette that is an option for the 2012. LOL. Its Just a model.



I thought everyone would get a kick out of this.

hope I didnt offend anyone with this, I only showed this to let you see what I came up with for a mid-engine concept using the c6 platform.

The curly things as you mentioned are the rear coil springs. I took them from a ferrari F-50 kit. I am trying to get a more racy look and feel on the suspension.

The only real issue with mid engine is that you loose cargo space which then takes the car out of being a good daily driver.

I hope the vettes remain front engine, rear wheel or AWD. I would like to be able to have trunk space to go on trips etc...

With dry sump, and the inherent compactness of the ohv, who knows, i could see the hatch still being there, albeit smaller, and two of them

Well I finished this model thought you guys might like to see it. I know the color will not be everyones cup of tea, but I wanted something a little different.

The other issue with mid-engine is that they are a bitch to service. In the model posted, you would have to pull the engine to do just about anything.

That's why I have a lift in the garage.

These days, most of the FWD cars need to be on a lift to service them too as much of the motor is hard to access.

The old days of the shade tree mechanic are fastly going away.
