The C7 is under that car. You will see more by summer, keep an eye on those wheels.

The wheels??? That is the c6 logo in the center, although it doesnt look like a center cap, as if the middle is a solid piece. And im pretty sure I've seen those wheels before somewhere. Refuse to believe you know anything about it. I believe its a new engine in there but come on dude.

Edit: Yeah they are just new wheels for 2011+. Add your name to the list of people acting like they know something but dont...

IMO, there's a turbo V6 under the hood. But only IMO.

I hope they offer a v8 turbo. Easy to turn up the boost and upgrade turbos.

I very much doubt GM will do a V6. Maybe a smaller V8 but not V6. It will turn people off.

Koenigsegg, has a 5.0L V8 making big numbers
--------------------------
Engine

Koenigsegg aluminum 5,0L V8, 4 valves per cylinder, double overheadcamshafts
Compression: 9.0:1
Bore: 91.7 mm Stroke: 95.25 mm
Sequential, multipoint fuel injection.
Twin turbo superchargers
1.3 bar boost pressure.
Dry sump lubrication.

Performance

Power output: 940 hp at 6900 rpm – redline @ 7250 rpm
Torque: over 1000 Nm from 2700 to 6170 rpm
Max torque: 1100 Nm at 4000 rpm
Acceleration: 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) 3 seconds
0-200 km/h 8.0 sec, 0-200-0 km/h 13.5 sec
-----------------

This should be the direction GM would take to go after a bigger market.
Just my two cents!

A turbo V6 wouldn't turn me off. They could come close to the current power levels with a TT DI 3.6 and probably get better mileage. It's not written in stone that the Vette has to have a V8.

We're already pretty certain that the next SB will be a 5.5L DI engine with no turbos...

...but it'd be cool if those heads fit on the Gen 3 and 4 engines. Big boost plus use the inejctor holes for an aftermarket direct meth injection kit =

I think this is a legit pic and the first "spy" photo.

Keep your camera and video out for interior, suspension and brakes, wheelbase and sound!

What town was the mule located? Detroit? Bowling Green? Be ready CF co-members!

I'd venture to say it's legit and a mule as well.
As for what motor?
don't know.

Not sure whey they didn't walk up to the car and snap a few good ones of the interior...

But a mule for what? The C7 or the additional product line intended for BG? Maybe the running gear for a Cad coupe? A Cad coupe would make more sense as the home for a turbo charged engine with the Corvette staying with a pushrod engine. Recall that the previous attempt by Cad at a coupe was a double overhead cam engine. So putting two different engines in the same basic chassis architecture is no trick.

Well, here we go again with speculations and such.

I will say this, though. I'm not an expert on C6 stuff, but it sure looks like the front of the car is sitting higher than usual. (correct?)

If so, whatever is under the hood is lighter than the LS3 setup unless it's just missing lots of stuff like A/C components and what not.

They often use earlier model un-saleable pilot cars for mules.

With its less-bright red and GM Mark of Excellence chicklets, this one appears to be one of the 2006 pilot cars.

The 15-spoke wheels are from the GCA catalog of dealer-installed accessories.

We'd like to think there is something special under the hood. Stock mufflers are quiet yet pretty efficient, so what on earth kind of engine couldn't just be plumbed into the stock mufflers? ...maybe it has turbos which silence the exhaust so much that louder mufflers were needed to give it a little better sound??

Just speculating...

Maybe this is an engine mule for a completely different FR car.

BTW, isn't the stock base exhaust just a dual exhaust with double tips?

Thanks for the replies.

That is the exact setup - color and wheel style that I want for the further C7.
