There are posted stock Z06 dyno numbers from 351 to 366.
I've can find stock 2005 C6 dyno pulls from 344 to as high as 357hp.

OK, it is not just 5 hp difference, it might be as much as 9 hp difference.

The point is STILL, there is no reason to assume the base C7 won't be very close to the same power as the C6 Z06.

I remember that it was stated the new engine would have a new or novel combustion process. I'm thinking Miller cycle.
Anybody else?

I think they are just talking about direct injection,, they have already announce the new gen GM small block with be DI
