Where is "around here" you speak of? Around here(Springfield/Branson, MO), my Z06 is driven by a 70 year old man that has driven it at 162 MPH on the Talladega SuperSpeedway. My friend Bob(~65+) has driven his C6 ZR1 at Talladega. My Friend Harry (75+ years old and a retired CEO of a major manufacturing company) has been known to drive his C6 Z06, his C6 ZR1 and his C4 ZR1 at speeds above a crawl. My friend Mike(before he recently sold it) drove his twin turbo'd 700+ horsepower C6 vert at speeds above a crawl. But I wouldn't be surprised that we old farts, combined, have a better driving record then you. My last speeding ticket was in 1966, with the one other speeding ticket I've recieved in 56 years of having a driver's license, being in 1965. I was a young stud with a 396 4-speed, feeling my oats. Maybe I should have bought a dozen eggs. Driving sanely doesn't mean that one is an invalid.

We all eat the eggs we buy, not decorate our Corvettes with them.

I can build a stout Z06 for that $29,000 difference ans still maintain the weight superiority of my Z06. I like the red stiching that my ebony interior has, contrasting against my Cyber Gray exterior, with it's red brake calipers and the red backgound in the 427 hood emblems.
Vette interiors are nice in the fact that you can customize your caliper color and stitching.

That is a huge turn off on the ZL1 is the fact that it has a red stitching no matter what.

They claim it would cost more if they offered a stitching option but I think the fact that you have no interior options with the ZL1 is stupid.

Calgary,Canada.....population 1 million +......I can count on one hand the number of times that Ive seen a newer Vette driven, other than like grandma in her Corolla, going to church.

Most of the Vette drivers here would likely be fine with 200hp,let alone 500.
