Default Check out these C6 style side-pipes

Scroll down

Because the common opinion of this forum that says side pipes on modern vettes are ugly and therefore they should not be on the C7, check these out

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...ettes-llc.html

Anybody who says these do not look good should get their eyes checked

IMO just saying they look good......... is not good enough

Well, I guess I better schedule my eye exam

Seriously, they do look pretty good. But what about the "vacancy" in the rear? I suppose if sidepipes were offered they would need to fill the rear area where the pipes normally would exit.

The hot look for the new cars is showing off what has been learned in the wind tunnel between downforce, cooling and the all-important exit of air from the back and the diffuser.

Take a look at the 918 Porsche getting ready to come out or the new P1 McLaren as well as the Viper.

I figure with your good taste in women and boats you have an eye for what works (love your avatar)

I have posted pictures of the P1 and 918 in the “other cars” section

I just took a look at your thread and the pics of the 918 Porsche and Mclaren. They are both great designs. I was actually hoping the C7 would be a bit more of an exotic look, like those cars, yet retain some of it's heritage.

While I may have pretty good taste, those cars are a little out of my budget I do love my Donzi. It's a Corvette on the water

Not to be argumentative but I don't consider those to be side "pipes", a la C2/C3 Vette, original Viper. "I" look at those as side exit "tips". Just my view. They do look pretty nice though.

The side pipes are invisible.

yep, and for good reason.. it'd look hideous and silly if they were visible

Big difference in side pipes and side exiting exhaust. The side exiting exhaust shown in those pics is damn sexy!

I think the best idea is side exhaust, not side pipes.

Yup ! As long as they exit behind the door. I do not want to listen to my s/o if she burns her ankle getting out of the car.

I thought the same thing. But I would be willing to reconsider my reservations if they could be angled upward to give a Marilyn Monroe skirt effect when the right passenger is entering. Just a quick throttle blip.
