You know, the more I look at the lights and the spy shots, it would be cool if the square part of the lights are like the new mustang lights --> glowing red. But when the car breaks, the red circles appear in the middle.

I say this because a lot of the spy shots seem to show some sort of circle in a square cover.

Whatever you do don't do a google image search on "goatse" (which is in the license plate). I had no clue what it was and I wish I still didn't.

Added a spoiler and some grey stripes to one of the new renders.

Closed up the grill area a little bit...

Not a fan of the stripes, but I like the idea of the two strips in the grill above. I don't know if this was done from what I said earlier but I think that those look great.

Was thinking they could have some small LED light strips in the grill opening.

This render looks like it was based off a C6 pic I've seen before....maybe in the Kerbeck ad. Regardless, it still has too much C6 in it, especially in the roof line. The A pillar is too upright, the window is too tall, and the rear quarter window is misshapen. The rear may dip too low and the wheelbase is too short. Other than that, it's not completely awful but I think it will be proven to miss the mark by a wide margin on 1/13.

I think a rear end that looks kinda like this would be better. Seems like it would be a easy fix. Just a redesign of the rear bumper cover.

Ture. That is what it reminded me of as well. But I still think it is 10x better than what the current design is like.

That is "Butt" ugly in my opinion. Those round tail lights make the rear end look very boring and too Ferrari-ish at the top. Oh wait, this is nothing more than a photo shopped Ferrari!

I think I'm going to really like the new look of the redesigned rear end of the C7 and really fearing that my C6Z will look way outdated to my eyes all to soon.

Not to hurt any feelings but IMO that is freaking ugly. I like the round tail lights on my C5 but those do not work on a C7...

Default Hmm...

How they got this;

From this;

Puzzles me. I think it's way too busy for one thing, and if you study the camoed image closely, there's no way the taillights are inset the deep way they have them. I don't see an area outside on the edge of the body that would make that triangular black "teardrop" so pronounced. There could be a slight shadow, but not what they're predicting. Hard to say how much trouble GM went to in disguising the side-to-side shape of the rear clip, but it just doesn't look like it has all those busy angles, and it would look a lot cleaner without them. I could almost accept the rectangular/parallelogram shape to the taillights without all that other junk going on.

Happy New Year folks! We'll find out for sure in 2 weeks...

Best regards,

Hi Bill,
A minor point, but our C5s' taillights are oval, not round. The taillight history since the C4, which was the most radical body shape change since the '60s, and hasn't changed nearly as radically since, has gone; square, oval, round. A parallelogram would be the logical next shape in order of "basic" shapes... Of course, they could go with a "modified" version of one of the previous shapes, like a half-circle for instance. I'd prefer the parallelogram, personally.

Best regards,
...z

Look at the wheels on the commo'd convt...then compare them to what is on the Chevy Concept they showed on the '12 Auto Show circuit. Did they reveal the new wheels on this yellow concept????
