Default C7 Interior Comparisons

The first thing I thought when I saw the leaks was new Viper, with some A5, then made even more angular. Both those cars have amazingly good interiors, and I expect similar from the C7...

2013 Viper:
Similar grab handle, vent locations, and separation of driver/passenger zones.

Audi A5
The way the center stack and driver's console are wrapped together, similar vent shapes, overall more angular than the viper.

Kind of looks a a modern version of the Toyota Supra interior. Can somebody post a pic up for comparison? I cannot upload images for some reason.

Ask and ye shall receive. Not very many good supra interior photos out there...

Of all these I think a mash between the R8 and the C4 are probably bear the most resemblance to what we've seen of the C7.

viper interior is cleaner in picture and the design is consistent throughout whereas the C7 incorporates a more freeform design. I need to see them both in person. I don't care for the air vents on the C7, especially on the passenger part of the dash.

I like it but the steering wheel needs a d-bottom. Also, the steering wheel molding for the airbag/horn area looks "large" almost like there is too much material there. I'm sure the interior shops will get working on this right away though.

With the backwards-looking, haphazard pick and choose, I hope at least a cassette deck will be standard equipment.

I hope the C7 still has analog instead of digital gauges. But interior wise, I never have thought the C6 was anything so terrible to look at or ride in.

In my opinion the worst part nowadays is that alcantera stuff. Because like wood, fakewood, **** carpet, etc, certain things just don't look like they belong in a car to me.

And it is also somewhat hard to get in & out of. But it's a sports/performance car, so you expect that.

I am still trying to wrap my head around this...

Seems as though the youger crowd is now making fun of older people who want sticks...I am only 32 and I remember vividly when young folks used to make fun of older folks who drove autos...

Save the stick!

Stick shift is a more advanced body-machine connection. It's the beauty of Iron Man, the man/woman that can be more than itself yet still 100% in control.

Automatic is more like an rc robot. Yeah it may have similar capability but there is no human inside of it clad in metal. The robot is not an extension of the human, it's simply a second lower capacity unit that is manipulated.

Stick shift is akin to playing the quitar, piano, or violin. Great brains, physically engaging an organism to multiply it's greatness through some basic extensions of itself.

Automatic is more like a synthesizer. Already produced waveforms, or ones built methodically combined, edited, altered. The brain is still at work but much less body connection is needed.

You say old farts want manual, I say farts of every age want auto. You can lie to yourself and think the mind-body-machine connection doesn't matter. In the end two things have to happen, the performance needs to be supreme, and sweat needs to be poured. If you only have to lift a finger to get great performance it won't be satisfying, in the same way a lot of effort for marginal result is not satisfying.

I'm 19 and I'd rather have a manual 'vette. You even disgrace the car in your user ID. Mustangs too are far better with a manual transmission - I would know.
