There is for sure only one generation Sting Ray
Sorry but i can not say that i agree with you on this matter

I like every generation of Corvettes but only one generation of Corvettes are my favorite

It would be boring if we all had the same taste

I've lusted after the C4 since I was like 8 years old. Given that I'm turning 28 this year, I think that's close enough to timeless.

The only ''ugly'' vette in my opinion is the C2.

Before I get flogged, I wouldn't turn it down. It's just the difference between say, Kiera Knightley from Pirates of the Carribean, and Kate Beckinsale from Underworld to me.

I think the C4 looks more modern than the models before it. You can't dispute that it certainly handles better.

I don't think so.
In convertible form it's hot. But it definitely isn't the best vette in hard top.

And since I'm not big on convertibles (due to a myriad of reasons)....

We all have our favorites.

I know quite a few guys that think the C1 is the best looking vette.

And I know guys that love the C5 the most.

That's the cool thing about Vettes. There's one for every body.

A word of advice: You might try using the letters IMHO when expressing your OPINION. You would come off as less of an ***.

It's a shame i drive such an old, out dated C6 that doesn't look all that great. But i can live with it.

C6 owners are starting to sound like C4 owners....They're all butiful to me. Just washed my C4 today and stood back and said...d@mn thats a sharp looking car.....dated or not! LOL to all you vette owners!!

the coupe was always cooler than the vert. In the mid sixties the coupe was supreme. I wish I had my 64 coupe small block with air, back. It was a sweet car, and actually much better than my friends big block cars. They rode like tanks. the small block was much easier to live with on a daily basis.

My car is a coupe with factory air and L76

But if people think the C7 looks very modern now i would think that when the 1963 Corvette Stingray was launched back in 1963 it really must have looked modern for sure

I think that never have any generation of Corvettes looked more different and modern than the 1963 StingRay when it was launched

Not my video, and just used as an example of how good the C6Z looks. I agree not the place for hotrodding, but not the point of discussion.

I'm in the same boat as you my friend.

Yellow C6. I'm glad its still a color that POPS!

The C7 is longer, wider and lower then the base C6, just as the GS/Z06/ZR1 is longer, wider and lower then the base C6.
I saw my first C7 in CG on the road yesterday. Not totally impressed. It did not give me that have to have it feel that the Z did pulling me out of my less than 2 year old C6 coupe back in 2007. My lowered Black beauty with its' 345/285's and wide stance grabs my attention every time. When I startup the "427" well forget about it. Tired of many posters saying that views like this are coming from people who can't afford to "trade up" to a C7. Get real first time Vette owners. I'm commited, for now ,to my Z and in fact just updated my DD.. Soon we will see the ultimate C7 hopefully by 2015.

A back from the dead thread!

I was on the fence about the C7 but now that I've had a chance to see one in person and sit in it for a while (still haven't driven one) I'm sold. I do think the widebody C6 is still a cleaner, more timeless and beautiful design, but there's something quite compelling about the outrageous, over-the-top hot wheels styling of the C7....and the interior and technology are the new hotness. I'll wait for the Z07, keep my c6 vert, and be happy until the C8.
