you missed the point obviously but whatever, i own a ZR1 not a C7 and you don't own **** unless you prouve otherwise! What that being said, The C7 have its plus and cons like every others car, if i wanted a C7 i could get one. maybe it will happen with the Z07 model. Now walk away.......

That being said, there are a few things currently keeping me from pulling the trigger on one.

1. The 'play station' dash is a joke and should have never been considered as worthy for this car. I don't see myself looking at that. It's simply stupid, meant to satisfy the children that they assume will be buying the car.

2. Still not happy with the cars rear design.

3. It's a first year model and that is a big reason.

and last............

4. It's made by GM. And I will not buy another GM product.
You do make some valid points. I too will wait for the second year. If the C7 Z06 does not do it for me I will go elsewhere.

Yes the C7 is the latest and greatest...but the ZR1 is still hot. Especially this one.

It was extremely hard to cut loose my '08 Z06. If it had been a Carbon or even better a ZR1, there would be two vettes in my garage now.

200 miles on my C7, not one person of the literally hundreds that have asked, gawked etc. have said one negative. It's bada$$ to me, I paid for it, love it, that's all that counts.

Let me put it this way, there was a thread on the c6 discussion page that said "post pictures of your c6 vette" and the wide bodies totally made the base c6 coupes look dated by far. Now Amplify that "datedness" and that's how the c6 looks compared to a c7. I don't care if its a widebody or not. There's just something about the c7 that totally transforms that car into one sexy, gorgeous beast.

This is to pacify the rage monkeys: your c6 still looks good.....really good but don't even go there

The interior of the C6 is so Cheap looking, resales have got to dive downward.
Where think a C7 looks cheap is when compared to a european sports car.

The C4, 5, 6 all had the chopped off rear and big ole round lights. They had
to do something.

That am some good grammar.

I guess you could say these two are dated as well.....and nothing since has ever come close to them. So much for the term "dated" meaning much of anything.

How does it compare, man? I've tossed the idea around and I too have an 08Z. I like the interior and tech upgrades but the Z is such a special car in my eyes. And looks are subjective but the z cars are hard to beat in that department.

Keep this in mind guys! The 67's looked dated compared to the then new 68's! Not taking any side, just saying!

This by far and away, is the best comment in this entire thread. This makes my point. Classic and elegant will always be just that. The C6 has it and at this time, the C7 does not. I think the C7 is cool and extremely functional, just not smooth and flowing. As always, to each their own.

It was better left alone because every generations goes through this, and everyone has their reason(s) for liking or not liking the new generation.

In the end, either buy the new generation or stick with what you already have and be happy there's no reason to bash each other regardless of the decision anyone makes
