I gotta cheap solution...just get the Blade Silver C7 (or C6 for that matter) and stick a strip of classic silver duct tape down the center of the back window. Easy peasy!

I thought there was a soundbyte from a GM "executive" a couple of years ago where he indicated that there will be a slit window option for the C7.

It would seem if GM wanted to celebrate the 1963 split window, the 2013 C6 model would have been the perfect time to celebrate the 50th anniversary.

Sort of like those vertical bar mods I've seen installed on both C5 and C6 coupes.

I'll bet if this were offered they couldn't build them fast enough to satisfy the demand.

And the national highway death rate would actually climb by a measureable amount because of the restricted vision. But a lot of folks would look cool as they backed over their grandkids.

but it didn't happen and it won't happen. Let me add it shouldn't happen, not with that roof line and window. Had they used the Transformer roof line it would have worked spot on. I'm speculating that it would have been much better received. Then, just as before, I would have deleted the split for 2015+ models. A sure fire collector item rather than DOA for too many. What makes the Transformer roof work so well is the rearward slope of the halo.

Bottom line, all speculation aside, it's a done deal.

What was I thinking...51 yrs later!

They already missed the 5oth Anniv of the '63 to do a split. Maybe it was a "split decision" by GM to do otherwise.

I'd really like to see the split window idea left in 1963. Seriously, why would anyone really want this? Seems like it would be a real pain to drive.

I never liked the split window in the 63 or the split window in any other car. I hope it does not reappear in the Corvette.
