I have to admit, this convert was the first I thought was really good looking. But that top I think destroys the look. Especially the tan top version with the grey.

I love the fact you can lower it with the FOB. Also putting it up or down at 30 mph is awesome. Looks good to me!
Wait you can do that at 30 MPH? My mom and I both have C6's hers is a vert and I used to put the top up/down at like 10 MPH (just moved the e-brake up one click and boom). I was also around 17-18 at the time, man my dad would of whooped me if he saw that.
Just the fact that you can be moving at a slow rate of speed and work the top is great. When the rain hits I'm usually driving.
I've raised the top of my '05 vert at less than 10 mph by clicking the e-brake up one click and holding the switch. It started raining hard and I was in traffic. I wouldn't do it any faster as I would be worried about the top's frame getting out of whack.
I'm not a vert fan, but I have to admit, the C7 top is the best looking soft top I think I've ever seen on a car. When the top is up, it is completely smooth and looks really nice, regardless of color.
I have never been a fan of the Corvette roadster with the top up, even dating back to my '66 BB. I was lucky, as I had the hard top to go with it, so that was on the car most of when the weather was not good. The only time I would normally use the soft top was if I was out and it rained. Now a Corvette roadster with the top down looks great. I will admit the picture with the tan top on the C7 is not bad looking.
When will we have a corvette with a power hard top? I am surprised this year didn't have it with all the revolutionary changes.
That is a lot of wait to add to a sports car. I did see one C6 that had it done, and the owner tried to tell be it was an option in 2005 and they made 350 of them. I said sure they did.

If you look at it nearly all the hard top converts are cars that are marketed towards females. Miata, SLK, Lexus and Z4 are just a few and would not want to see the Vette emulating that class of sports car.
The Mercedes SLS is their flagship sports car that costs twice what a loaded SL goes for and the SLS has a soft top. The SL and SLK are retractable hard top cars and are marketed towards and mostly bought buy women. My son is with Mercedes and they chuckle about it when a guy brings a SL or SLK in for service that he is driving his wife's car.

There was an aftermarket company that did C6 retractable hard top conversions. It ended up looking a bit like a C5 Z06 with the top up.
