Default Vert

No bashing intended but I have personally owned only coupes for over 30 years. The only vert I ever owned was my very first car, 1967 MGB. That being said, this car is beautiful.

Yeah, I like the vert much more than the coupe.
Here's a fav pic:

To me this beats out the Jag F-type vert.
Certainly be more affordable.

I have a C6 vert now and was considering the C7 coupe. After seeing pics of the C7 vert it's going to be a tough decision, I will wait to see them in person.

Great comparison (thanks) which illustrates 3 things:
  • To me, the Jag actually looks a bit "bulbous" from the side -- I think the C7's side detailing adds a lot of character and looks much better.
  • While I have been sounding like a broken record calling for body-color painted A-pillars on the Coupe, this comparison convinces me the black windshield trim looks much better on the Vert -- another plus for the C7
  • The Vette's rear quarter, which is bulky, chopped-off, and very much race-car inspired, is not as attractive as the Jag's. But, it has integrity.

The vert is a good option for those who are unhappy that the coupe lost its halo bar and big glass after 35 years but it won't come cheap.

C7 convertible wins on:

- price
- performance
-reliability/service/repair costs
- front and side styling

Jag F type wins on:

- rear 3/4 and rear styling

I'd say the C7 is a clear cut winner over the F type!

???????????????????????????????????????? ????

Explaining the Jag's perceived bulbousness, OX? It's only three inches! Which makes a huge difference in some things -- but I don't think here

I wasn't trying to explain anything, just happened to notice the difference and thought I'd put it out there.

OK -- seemed kinda non-sequitor.

They were different colors also. Just thought I'd put that out there
