Porsche's new 911 (991) is faster around the ring than the last gen GT3.
Corvette has had even more time between generations. My opinion, definitely possible that the new C7 will be faster than the last gen Z06. Wouldn't that make a great "October surprise"?
A 60% more rigid frame puts less demand on tire patches(~14% FRT and ~15% RR smaller then the PS2's)! And more weight biased to the rear can be accounted for with one extra size reduction in the rear?
The possible extra power on E85 (more, since, not heating as much) should be similar, and plenty, as the Z07's which had enough to make 7:22(better then the OLD ZR1)!
This sucker really appears to be dialed in!

We don't hate you man! You sometimes drive me nuts but that's about all.
If you do not, you are one of few exceptions but of course there would be no exceptions without rules to create them As a sidenote, I find it interesting that nobody from GM ever chimes in. Since Google is our friend, here is a thought, mention Tadge's name as many times as possible, just like I do

I don't think we'll . . . Tadge. . . . see them chime. . . . Tadge. . . . in . . . . Tadge. . . . but, I bet. . . . Tadge. . . . that they probably. . . . Tadge. . . . glance at . . . . . Tadge. . . . the forum. . . . Tadge. . . . from time . . . . Tadge. . . . to time.
Understood. Good explanation why people around here hate me so much
Hate is a thing to be reserved for some vegetables, betrayal, unrepentant evil, disease, and the like. It has no place in a car forum. If participation herein is producing feelings of hate, get out of here and get a grip on reality. This is Fantasy Land, as was kindly pointed out to me by a fellow member.

The C7 is faster than the Grand Sport which runs about even with the ZL1. Considering the ZL1 ran 7:42 at the Ring, the C7 shouldn't have any problem running high 7:30s. If the conditions are right, 7:38 give or take a second shouldn't be a problem.

How do you know that? You do not even know the weight of the car or final weight distribution and horsepower?
