I really like my Escort, but have used someone's V1 and at certain time those arrows are helpful. On the way to the Bash, while using my Escort, I kept getting a strong Ka hit that would then go quiet for a minute or two and hit again. This went on for about 10 miles or so. It turned out to be a Tennesee State Trooper driving in the slow lane who I eventually caught up to. The V1 would've let me know that he was ahead of me, but I have seen this scenario before so once my detector repeated then I slowed down. I knew that he was in the traffic flow with me, ijust didn't know where.
They are now just starting to use LIDAR in my area.
V1 and the Escort are both good choices you can't go wrong with either, all owners of them love them.
If money is not an object and you simply want the best (and its legal in you state) here is a quad integrated system.
1 Beltronics/Escort 9500ci or STI-r plus with Shifters
2. Laser Interceptor use current model laser jammers
3 Escort live, integrated to the 9500ci or STI-r (same unit works with both)
coupled by bluetooth to your smart phone.
4. Waze (can be on your phone, or your passengers)
Set the Shifters to detection only, let the LI's do the jamming. You will be surprised how often radar is being trained on your car. It will also help you go the speed limit, as the built in GPS knows the speed limit of the road you are on and your vehicle, depending on your settings it can give a warning if you are over the posted speed limit (you set by how many MPH).
Live will alert may give you a heads up on a speed trap but waze seems to have more users. Waze is free!
The system is concealed and very clean. although you will have 7 transceivers, one receiver and a GPS antenna. They all tuck away pretty good.

These are interesting things I never knew about, though money-wise I'll stick to one detector. My wife might think I really plan on speeding all the time and I'm just getting her to accept the new C7 on order.
