After market alert. The shape of the Stingray hood is just begging for LT1 ( no hyphen) stripes. It looks to me you could reproduce a design that would be close to what we first saw in 1970.
Any photo shop artest want to take a shot at that!

I always liked the 1970-1972 LT-1 hood stripes. On the new car such stripes would have to cross up and over the sharp creases of the hood rise. Not sure if that would look right?

You mean these?
I could easily see these adapted to the C7 Stingray...if you are into that sort of thing.
Yes. The actual stripes could be thinner. The design would be wider in the back towards the windshield. Follow the contours. The bulge in the hood are not unlike the bulge in 1970. The vent is easily untouched by the stripe. You could not use the actual 1970 stripe but a modified one wou
D be cool. Including the LT1 logo. I may have it done and post it. It is hard to explain here. I know my paint guy could do it.

I am not sure what you are saying. The bulge in the C7 hood is not unlike the 70 big block hood. They do not need to go up to the crease just around the bulge. Wish I could draw..
Now I see. When you get to that crease the angle of the stripe changes . You do not try and curve the stripe. You create an angle change in the stripe. It is not an exact reproduction of 1970 rather a modified stripe that follows the old design.
