I don't get it, your crazy to pick some base stock Corvette over a Viper GTS. Will never drive a base model, has to be a Z06 version at minimum. I never liked any of the base model Corvette's from day one. I have a feeling when the Z06 comes out, it will make this base C7 look as bad as the C6Z06 made the base C6 look. I still like the C6Z06 styling over the base C7.

Viper or vette? Really not a huge fan of either of their current styling, but compared to the c7, I'd take the viper.
That being said, I'd take a zr1 over either by a long shot. Probably a z07 over zr1 even, but then again the jerks at GM dropped atomic orange the same year they added the z07 package so my dream car is just a dream...
That being said, if I couldn't take a zr1/z07, I'd take an 08-10 viper over either by a long shot.
(Just putting that out there so I don't get accused of simply having an older vette and being jealous of the new model like I know will happen. I'm currently vette-less for awhile)

Have you ever seen Bill Belichick throw a tantrum? How about Popovich for the Spurs? Maybe Earl Weaver of the O's? They are some of the best leaders in their respective sports, I can go on and on but I'm sure you get my point. A guy being annoyed for losing is not by any means wrong or childish.
Yeah, I've seen Belichick act like a douche too. And he doesn't have to be throwing a three-year-old-like fit to manage that either.

In all fairness to Gilles, the image I have in my mind of him, whining, bawling and stamping his feet may need revised. That's because its the image of a three year-old brat with a bald head.

The new Viper is still a brute of a car, more refined but still a rough brawler type of drive - not something you would want to take a long cruise in or make a daily drive to work etc.
It is fun for a "night" but not the one I would want to "marry".
Shape wise the Viper is much more of an evolution of the original concept as opposed to the C7's new and more modern shape.

FWIW, I like the new Viper. And I think its existence is a good thing for the Corvette.
But Gilles in response to the Laguna Seca runs acted like a tool.
He does seem like a good dude and has a solid team. I look forward to seeing their work rolling forward.

Easy answer: SRT Viper.
The ZR1 or Z06 C7 havent been released so the Regular C7 is not in the same league as a Viper SRT.
When you see Viper in Pictures or Video's they dont have the pop as when you see them on the road in real time.
Even the old Viper look Mean and Badd AZZ in person, they just steal the show from the C6 vette's in looks IMO.
The C7 have gains some ground though on looks.
I saw the C6 ZR1 against the Viper in Motor trend and the Viper looked wwwwwwwwwway better, and the hood opening (That they stole from the C4) is Killer touch.
