Is this actually a serious post? If not you should have put a This has to take the prize for the most inaccurate post I've ever read on the forum. Pretty funny though. Where do people get this stuff? Bill, does have it right. It's a charger.
How did my name get associated with that post? I never wrote about a steel plate around a battery. That is bizarre.
I am going to order a Stingray convertible. Are the codes available yet to order a Stingray convertible and if so, has anyone ordered one? I understand my dealer has been taking orders for coupes but not convertibles. I am ready to place my order and am getting antsy. Thanks for all answers.
I have a NRB convertible ordered as of last Monday.
Order #RFQWTZ.
My dealer entered my order on Aug. 8. Doesn't have an order # yet. Says he will send it to me when he gets one. But he did call me to tell me that GM wants $590 for a non-conforming color combination, NRB with Adreneline Red 2LT and blue top. I told him to do it.
When the dealer put the order in on August 8th he sent me the order number the same day.
I've had a confirmed order on a 'vert for well over a month from a respected Forum dealer. Confirmed -- as in faxed GM paperwork. Anyone who's telling you they can't order a 'vert yet probably can't get one, and is giving you the classic "no allocation" run-around. I've been to this party before. Ask him/her to show you their allocations - they have the numbers as to how many cars they're getting, so make 'em show you the goods.

Same here. I have a PDF of the order listing order number and options dated 7/11/2013.
Official Chevy acceptance date for convertible orders was 8 August according to previous postings on Corvette Forum. Guess your dealers could be high volume Vett dealers and got around the 8 August dates?
...just wondering about Canadian vert orders? My dealer has me as first in line but he told me yesterday that he still can't place the order in the system at this time. Can any fellow confirm this?
