Default C-7 convertibles

Does anyone know when the new convertibles can be ordered?

December. You can enter in the system but nothing happens until December. The dealers already have their allocations.

If you haven't done so, put down a deposit at a dealer to get one of the existing slots. But, orders don't go into the system until December.

You can get a slot now and then submit the order in December. Most dealers want $500 to $2000 down.

Say what??? I have a convertible order in the system. It will stay at status 1100 until GM gives my dealer enough allocations during consensus to reach my number in line, but the order is in the system and can be checked on GM's website

It's in the system but nothing happens until Dec.

I've asked 3 times already.

What the OP needs is to get an allocation slot from a dealer. For that, you don't need to wait until December. You can do that now and then place the official order later. It won't effect you're queue because the dealer allocation is already the queue.

That's correct. Convertible production starts in December, your order can go in now but it will sit there (but it holds you place).

From what I've been told, it doesn't speed up your order at all because the dealers have their allocation slots. They will fill those slots up in the order of depositors.

The OP is asking the wrong question. What he wants is an allocation slot from his dealer. That's what matters. Orders will be sent to GM in December (or maybe late Nov -- no one really knows for sure).

I believe that's what Sin City told you. Just because your dealer has it in, doesn't mean that it's in GM order system. December is when they will be put in.

Yes, its confusing. But what matters most is getting in the queue, then you can place the order later.
