Wheels . . . options . . .
I ordered Torch Red / Red 3Lt . . . but just accepted the standard wheels and tires.
Do not know about wheels. Hardly ever look at wheels on a car. Well, did notice the big wheels on the chariot of Ben Hur -- but . . .
Will the standard wheels AND tires be OK, or do I need to re-look and talk about the wheels AND tires???

I got the torch red too. But I just couldn't do the standard wheels. Black wheels makes the red car stand out and look faster. Try the options at
www.chevrolet.com to see the differences.
Just my thoughts so prepare to get trolled on

It comes down to personal taste. I think the Z51 rims look sweet. The tires are top notch so you don't need to change those.

What wheels choices you have available will depend on if you got Z51 or non-Z51 model. No choice on tires from the factory. You either get what comes on the non-Z51 version or what comes on the Z51 version.

I looked but did not see them. The order sheet I am looking at does not have black . . . so I am a bit lost here.

Black wheels are only available on Z51. See my previous post.

I am not getting that super duper model, just the old standard with the 3 level. Soooooooo I guess no black wheels, just the regular one, right?

Three choices:
Silver painted aluminum (standard)
Chrome aluminum ($1,995)
Machine face aluminum ($1,495)

Now we are talking turkey . . . but it is greek to me.
So what am I supposed to be thinking . . . to upgrade to either 2 or 3?
Why would one consider? Looks, driving, the tires will feel better, just not been important to me in the past . . . maybe it should be.

It is strictly a matter of looks.

OK, sort of along the same line, how about recommendations for WINTER TIRES! The Michelin's sound great for summer, but we have at least 4 month's of COLD WEATHER. I'm not talking about snow tires, (a Corvette is no longer my only means of transportation,) just decent WINTER TIRES that have at least some grip on the road.

Another good reason to opt for the z51 option. That's a hell of a value...
Any of the wheels are great. I prefer the 19/20 silver z51 rims myself.
Base car...stay with stock rims ...too expensive for same 18/19 inch rims from the factory.
Jmo save your money unless you can see clear for the z51 option at 2800 dollars..etc.

Oh no way. The C5 "Wagon Wheels" were pitiful (I owned one).
