I think the notice from the museum says it all...September 30th.
Nough said. Third quarter, word kept.

Now let's get back to checking those status codes and enjoying this whole process.

Didn't they say by third quarter? Isn't late September 3rd quarter? I fail to see the "bad business" in this when they will start delivering cars by the time they said they would? What am I missing?

Why are belligerent non sequiturs so often followed up by the word "period?"

I really hope they deliver by the 3rd quarter, for the sake of everyone's sanity on this forum.

For me, I put my deposit down in January and will happily wait as long as I need to to get the perfect product.

Slow down, relax, enjoy the last bit of summer folks!

For those who STILL don't get it, how many more times does GM have to say, "The car will be available in the THIRD QUARTER"? Third quarter ends Sept 30. For the calendar challenged, that will be the end of NEXT MONTH! 'Nuff said. Sheesh!

Are you saying some around here are calendar challenged ?

Maybe some people think they meant Third Quarter 2012?

All this bitching and moaning isn't going to change anything, cancel your order or patiently wait just like everyone else is.

You think your wait is bad for the C7? Take a look at the 2013 Viper and 2013 GT500 wait times.

Wow, C7 withdrawal anxiety makes grown adults act all weird.

I think it's telling that the smart guys- Dave Salvatore, Rick Conti- refrain from joining in on this stuff. They realize that the cars will come when they come.

So it looks like nothing has changed

C7's at dealerships 4 weeks from now?

I'll believe it when I see it.

When GM says C7 on sale 3rd quarter, man they are pushing it with a late September delivery date.

As much as we're all complaining about the wait and misinformation, it pales in comparison to the bitching that would occur if they delivered the car too soon and things didn't fit and work perfectly. They know how **** their market is and they're determined not to screw up the launch of their halo car, no matter how much we whine. I'm OK with that.
I hate to say it, but even with the delays I have a feeling there will be problems with this car. Hope I'm wrong.

Not wrong.

GM claimed cars would be on sale late summer. That's early to mid September in my book, not late September.

So, now we're going to get all wound about 2 WEEKS?

To re-cap the train wreck this thread became:
1. We have conflicting Tom Hill quotes
2. Maybe we DON'T have conflicting Tom Hill quotes
3. We DON'T have conflicting Tom Hill quotes
4. Epic Fail by GM on letting US know the release period
5. Sadly for all the folks that are enjoying whining, the release period was revealed 8 MONTHS AGO
6. Somehow, the President (of the U.S.) is responsible for the "delay" that is not a "delay". I guess Democrats hate Corvettes.
7. I'm sure there will be more Chicken Little posts, this brings everyone up to date as of 11:52 PM

Tom Hill...Tom Hill.... I thought we were talking about DAVE Hill. I'm confused.

Frankly, I'm bored with all this C7 talk. I heard the C8 is going to have AWD/DCT/DOHC/AFM/VVT/CIA/NCAA/NAACP/FBI/DOT/and a whole pack of other acronyms. Tom Hill told me. Or was it Dave?

Jimmy

PS. I hope someone will show Tom this thread tomorrow (I am sure he's asleep at this moment), he would surely get a good laugh.
