BTW - maybe the reason he doesn't reply in this thread is he doesn't want to risk running afoul of some company rules. We may need to coordinate this in such a way that some anonymous gift card just happens to find its way randomly into his mailbox. No return address or contact info gives him no reasonable way to officially refuse it, and his lack of reply in this thread provides no actionable evidence of encouragement, etc.
Submitting funds to his Pay Pal is not too far fetched. During the roll out of the 5th Gen Camaro the anticipation and anxiety of people wanting updates on their Camaro orders was every bit as frantic as it has been around here.
A Camaro forum member with internal GM access was taking requests to check the status of your order. He gave his PayPal account in case you wanted to "donate" something for his efforts. I would guess that guy did pretty well. I know I threw a few bucks onto his cup.
Now, do the math and imagine if GMer had collected a $1-$5 for every time he checked an order number.
Having said that, I doubt if GMer would agree to any part of this. My wife is a corporate laywer specializing in employment law. She says any employee that profits personally from "selling" internal company information would certainly be putting his employment in jeopardy.

I would be happy to participate in the Paypal thing as well. HOWEVER, I think Mario is right about GM'er not being able to accept it. There was another thread started that was thinking about donating to his favorite charity. I'm going to try and find it.

Count me in on a favorite charity contribution.

Guys, I started this thread and asked GM'er to PM me with his favorite charity. He never did. Perhaps he is uncomfortable with the concept.
I am still willing to donate to his favorite charity and i am sure some of you would do so too, but until he chooses to accept our offers to do this, we are powerless to do so. Of course we could all give to the NCM in his name, but I am hoping he decides he can let us do the charitable contribution somewhere in his honor.
At this point the ball is in his court. We'll see if he hits us a return.
Best wishes to all. GM'er, thanks again--you made the waiting fun.
