I have a 2013, 427. It seems to me that the engine is running really warm. On the road, it continually runs 212 to 220 all the time. The oil temp is also high, between 190 and 200 depending on traffic. I was thinking about installing a new thermostat. If I do, is there anything I have to do? Thanks in advance. Roy

Your coolant temp on the road is a little high. My 427 runs 192-194 cruising down the Interstate, even when the ambient temp is 105 degrees. In town driving in traffic, my coolant may work it's way up to200-205 degrees. I was in a parade a couple of weeks ago and the ambient temp was 97 degrees, and sitting or barely moving my coolant got up to 228 degrees after approximately 45 minutes.
I know the original question was not about the 2014 Stingray and this is not an answer to that question.
I am thinking the engine temp will be ecu controlled and will run in the 212-220F and the only way to change that will be through an ecu tune.
I do not recall seeing info on that so I could be wrong.

The DESIRED engine temp will undoubtedly be controlled by ecu. The ACTUAL engine temp will be effected by all of the traditional factors, some of which might be out of optimal operational parameters (out of whack).

once the thermostat is open, it's open and not doing anything. Installing one that opens sooner is just going to delay it getting up that that temp which isn't a problem anyways.
