Jump Starting the Battery
The battery is in the rear of the
vehicle. Access to the battery is not
necessary for jump starting. There
are remote positive (+) and negative
(−) terminals under the hood for this
purpose. See Battery on page 10-30

I just gotta rant for a second about the idiotic circular references as well as the annoying lack of references in the manual.
For example, the entire section about jump starting never mentions the posts under the hood. It does specifically mention accessing the battery in the rear of the car, tells you how to pull up the carpet and all that, and mentions the battery section 10-30 for more info. However the battery section also does not mention the posts under the hood, nor does it mention the jump starting section (in fact, the battery section has basically one sentence that says "to order a new battery, see section 13-11." Seriously? An entire section used only to reference yet another section?". The only part that mentions the posts in the front is that 1-20 section, which is not referenced by anything else.
Very confusing.
Same craziness when you try and find out what oil to use at the track.
Are all GM manuals like this, or is it something new? This thing would be about 20 pages long if they got rid of all the redundant info.
Agree the manuals are confusing. General problem is that they are cut & paste. Some stuff is standard on many GM cars, some on chevy, and some specific (and newly written) for C7. A careful editing by someone who knows all about the car would help a lot.
For example: manual refers to CD player, yet car has none, unless a multi-CD player will be an option in the hatch area at some later date. The Infotainment manual should clear this up, along with the Noise Cancellation -Noise Compensation confusion. Presumably cars will have this manual when delivered, so hopefully one will be posted along side the Owners Manual in near future.
