Looking for allocation
I finally made the decision to buy my first ever Corvette! So I go to Ed Bozarth Chevrolet in Grand Junction, CO to enquire about an allocation. They have 2! But they are selling their Corvettes at 25,000 over MSRP. Gouging jerks.
So I email a forum vendor twice, Corvette Conti, and he does not even respond to the emails. I'm sure they are busy, but no response really leaves a bad first impression. Does anyone know of a forum vendor that has an allocation and will talk to you? I'm not in a huge rush for the car but would like it in 3 months or so.
Here's what I'm thinking: VY, 3LT, z51,NPP, mag ride, black wheels, carbon flash mirrors, transparent top, brownstone interior. That ought to be good for a few tickets right? The only thing I am worries about is how the yellow and brownstone interior will look. What do you think? Does anyone have a pic of that combo?

I'm currently spending over half of my day answering questions from customer who already have a car on order with me because they are existing customers and get priority and sometimes following up with new customers falls behind.

Here is one that was under the Corvette Race tent with black wheels:

Here is a brownstone, this would be a great combo:

Lastly, I also contacted Rick because there was a potential to do something now on the sale of my '03 Vert. He seems like a good guy that just has way too much to do during the C7 launch. His company should give him a little help. I know it probably bothers him not getting to all of his potential customers. He has been a good guy to Corvette community and deserves the benefit of the doubt (and a second chance). Since I am not in a hurry because the long cold winter here in Pittsburgh I can wait to get spring delivery, so for me no big deal.
They are asking $25k over MSRP, but they will most likely never sell the car for that much.
As the saying goes, "There is a "sucker born every minute". The stealership is just hoping one of them comes waltzing into their showroom.
Everyone can agree that they are asking way too far above MSRP to even negotiate with at this point. They are in never-never land.

When I originally posted this, I was pretty aggravated at the arrogant snot-nosed kid at the dealership in Grand Junction who laughed at me when I asked about MSRP. He acted almost proud that they were selling for $25,000 over.
I must say that all the forum dealers seem like quality guys.

I agree that yellow/black is a hot combo. But everybody that buys yellow gets a black interior. I want something different plus I really like the quality look of the brownstone. If you factor out the nav, the 3lt is $3000 more than 2lt. That better be some nice leather.

For my next pull, long as
NO CARBON FIBER EXPOSED TOP
JUST EITHER
PAINTED ROOF
OR JUST THE GLASS ROOF..
Those cars build estimates are late October....I have 10 but placing 4 on Monday against it....They get tagged on Thursday, pulled Saturday..in our allocation placed tab Tuesday and production control on Wednesday
Thank-you for consideration....I'll be off line today to celebrate my boys 11th birthday , twins and have not seen them all week....
Thumbs up gang!
