Default Gray Interior

Does anyone have a true color photo of the C7 Gray interior. My order, scheduled for early next year with a forum dealer, is a Blade Silver/Gray 2LT. The Chevrolet "Build your Own" site depicts the interior Gray/Black swatch with a dark gray color. All pictures I've seen, and there are very few, show a very light gray...a few shades darker than white. Which is it? Darker gray would be my preference.

Color choice with this car is very difficult since I could like almost any color from the selection. I've been a Silver man for years after many years of cleaning Black ones. Too old to keep up that scenario and Silver has been bulletproof with its' ease of keeping it clean...and it still looks good with dust/dirt on it.

Thanking you all in advance for your help.

VERY cool, classy looking interior for some C7s. IMHO AWESOME with white car, as one example

The new Gray is Light Gray.

Nothing like the C6 Light Titanium or Dark Titanium. But a true, light gray. And, unlike the C6, it has matching light gray carpet.

I love it but seems I'm in the minority here.

Here are a couple pics that seem true to color to me.

I bought the same car with 3LT and it is in the museum now. I asked about the cargo color so I could buy a mat and Shane told me it was black. I can't imagine the cargo carpet would be different than the other carpet in the car.

It's not dark, here are a few at different angles of a 3LT I took at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix in July:

I think the gray interior is smashing in a dark colored car. In my opinion a gray / gray car would be fairly vanilla. I think a dark interior would contrast much better. But this is my opinion your opinion carries the weight of your wallet which counts far more.. your car your choice!

Personally even the 1LT with the gray seats looks good. To me it's one choice that with silver would be classy.

the new leathers are plastizied and a lot easier to take care of....the kalahari will be just the same maintenance....one of the things that keeps leather nice is don't sit on it when you're just doing daily commutes...google Aires Seat defender - not a seat cover..I've used them for years, and all my seats look brand new...

Great and decisive pictures. That interior really looks superb and would be one that I would select if I was 40 or younger again. Unfortunately at 72, I don't want the cleaning hassles. I definitely going to go Kalahari.

Thank you

After seeing yours and other picture posts, I am going to change to a Kalahari interior. Way too light and I don't want all of the upkeep maintenance.

Thanks again

Yea, that was a C6 thing. All the interiors had black carpet, except the Cashmere, which had Cashmere carpet in the passenger area and black carpet in the cargo area.

My '08 Titanium is like your '05 Gray, black carpet.

Personally, I like the light gray carpet.

MikeK,
I too ordered the blade silver and gray with 2LT. I thought it was darker also. I am considering changing to black. I am at 3000 and ordered the both roofs, painted and clear so the car is going to stay there for a while. Should not be a problem changing.
Thanks for staring this thread.

Color combination is the buyers choice. That makes it just a matter of taste. I think gray / gray lacks contrast just my opinion. As this thread shows there are a lot of forum members who are willing to help new forum buyers and buyers who appreciate input from members.

Hey Bill,
Has Mike confirmed your car was made last week? If so, did he give you an approximate delivery date? Went to my dealer yesterday to finalize my trade in value, they told me it should be here in about 10 days or so.

Good luck!

Not on the OP subject so I apologize in advance.

My car was built last Friday. I am unsure as to when it will arrive but the $ is in my checking account. I have no trade. I sold my C5 last September while it had some value. My mistake because I spent a summer without a Corvette.
