My dealer really took care of me last night. I had the private offer for $1000, but my car had not been delivered yet. It was still showing 4200 and IN TRANSIT in their system with no invoice. Spoke with the GSM and explained my concerns to him. Hey, a grand is a grand right. My salesman originally said that without the invoice, there was no way to sell me the vehicle. Long story short, the GM was able to do something called DCS the vehicle and "deliver it to me on paper." He called the GM authorization line and received the code for the $1000 which is coming off of my sales price. Car should be here today from what I am told, but we all know that means nothing. Point is, the dealer did not have to do this for me. They could have very easily told me the car was not here, not invoiced, and no way for the offer to apply. Props to AutoNation in Greenacres. Too bad they tried to low ball me ($3k or so) on my trade - that I have now sold someplace else.
Enjoy the "free" money, but there are retired folk out there that are getting only 0.01% on their CD. So they are essentially paying for your "free" money.
Sorry I'm semi retired and I say tough. Back when I was struggling buying the first house and paying interest in the teens the guzzers where laughing at me with their double digit CD rates. It all goes around.
The stingray couldn't have come in a better time.....thanks to QE WE HAVE CHEAP MONEY TO PLAY WITH.....I'm pretty sure most of us can pay cash, but why....
