C7 Delivery Problems !
I'm sure the OP is normally a nice, reasonable guy and is just really, really frustrated right now. It may seem immature to get worked up over a few days of waiting but from the sounds of it the real problem is the OP doesn't know if it will be a few days, or maybe a few weeks. A lack of information seems to be a consistent theme with this product launch.
Is this delay normal or is the OP in a unique situation? Was his paperwork lost in the shuffle or just waiting in line for its turn on the printer? Will the OP wait a few days or will it be more like 2 or 3 weeks? Etc. I'd bet that if Chevy could give him a date certain (it'll be sent out by Monday for example) his frustration level would probably be a lot lower.
Chevy really needs to get some transparency going with stuff like this.
I will get to take delivery Friday - no more waiting in LIMBO!
The real issue is the total lack of information and accountability.
The dealer, with whom I have no issues did not push the issue with Chevrolet.
The local Chevrolet Representrative did nothing to resolve the problem, he would have known whom to escalate the issue to at GM.
Chevrolet needs to step up to the plate.
Chevrolet Customer Service/Customer Assistance for the most part was useless. Either they did not know what a MSO was nor how to get one. They could not even escalate the problem up the line.
I expect that when paying $71,370 for a vehicle I would get world class service! Not this either I don't care attitude or there's nothing I can do mentality.
Judging from the original date on your post of the 27th it looks like it takes about a week (or maybe 3 or 4 business days if the car comes in at the start of the week) - I'm assuming you posted on the day the car got to the dealer and that you weren't already waiting a few days.
I have been trying to clone her here in the office with no positive results. However, I have recruited myself and Marissa to be able to assist where needed.

What was most dissapointing was the comment that "it's been this way for 19 years with Chevrolet" and there's nothing I can do!
That attitude will never get things changed! I also have been told it can take up to 20 days to get the paperwork. UNACCEPTABLE
Remember, Chevrolet knew this was a customer owned car residing in Massachusetts. So don't blame it on Massachusetts not having temp plates - why go through the process twice?
Bottom line- Chevrolet needs a lot of work to get to Customer Service never mind World Class Service
