Well, after waiting 4-1/2 months from order to car is at Dealer, I can not drive the car because in it's infinite wisdom, Chevrolet does not send out the title (MSO) paper work to the dealer. In Massachusetts you can not get temporary plates and without the MSO you can not get it registered.
Talked to the Dealer - You need to wait!
Dealer talked to his Chevrolett Rep - Nothing he can do to speed up the procees.
Talked with Chevrolet Customer Assistance (No pun intended) they will research!
What is there to research - send the paper work!
Should have just said F--k It send me my deposit back!
Go out and get the Mustang - Porche - BMW - Jaguar - MB anything but this BS!
Chevrolet - Wake Up!
Dealers - Speak Up
Customers - Talk a Walk!

Seems like you're slightly upset. At least your car is in hand and not "missing"
Frustrating no doubt. But relax what's another couple days in the grand scheme of things??
At least your car is in the dealers hands where you can see and caress her, mine....not so much!!
I am sure it'll be resolved in a day or two. Just relax. It's Friday, go get yourself a drink. Will the dealer let you take her for a "test drive" for the weekend, while waiting for the paperwork?
At least you're not stuck in limbo not knowing what's going on and when to expect the car.
Man I wish I was in your position.. at least I would be able to go and see it, smell it, sit in it.. and stare at it. I put my deposit in a year ago and it was built two weeks ago and its sitting in Kentucky exposed to the elements.
If I were you enjoy your weekend, go and pay some visits to it, and know your car is within arms reach of you driving it. Many of us would kill to know our car is at the dealer right now.

When I purchased my 98 C5 from a dealer out of state, I showed up at 8 AM the morning after it came in, to drive it home. Inspected the car and handed the salesman a bank cashier's check for the full amount. Told them to give me the paperwork including the MSO and I would be on my way. They said they didn't have the MSO and I would receive it in two weeks. I said I wasn't leaving without the MSO. By then it was shortly after 9 AM, and my bank in Springfield was open. About ten minutes later the salesman handed me the MSO. I'm sure they were holding back on the MSO until they knew the bank check cleared. All they did was call my bank and confirm that it was a good check. Same thing has happened before.
When I purchased my C6 Z06 from a local dealer I gave them a personal check for the full amount. Told Wes to wait for 3-4 days before cashing or it would bounce, until I moved some funds into my checking account. They handed me the FOBs, the MSO and my copies of the paper work and I drove home. The car was delivered to Reliable on Thursday afternoon and I drove it home on Monday morning. There was no problem with me getting the MSO, and that afternoon, I had the DMV issue me a title etc. for the car. 3 days later, I called Wes and said it was okay to deposit my check as the funds were in my checking account.

Chit happens sometimes. Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we deal with it.

They are NOT missing! They are either on QC hold, bayed, on a transporter, in Nashville, in Bowling Green, at our dealer, on their way to Bowling Green from Nashville, on their way to Nashville from Bowling Green, OR in a top secret government holding facility designed for the most dangerous of criminals and all this QC hold up is just a Government cover up to protect the identities of the guilty parties.
That's got to be frustrating, but I think I'd take advantage of the time and have the car professionally detailed. There's likely a pro detailer in the area that could visit the dealership to do the work. Maybe the dealer would pay for it as compensation for the frustration.

Fat chance that one is happening.
Oh you are mad? You gonna cry? You gonna squirt one? NEXT IN LINE!
You ever wondered why your landline phone, cable internet, water company, electric company, trash company, and DMV have such bad customer service? Because you can complain and moan all day but since they are a Government regulated monopoly(except DMV) they can treat you any way they want to. GM kind of has current Stingray orders on lockdown right now. They churn out millions of vehicles a year. A couple hundred people are mad about the service? Who cares.

At least you have a car ordered. I had to sell my new 2012 z06 to buy time with the department hoping to retire early so I don't croak on duty.... now i just browse the forums and remember what it was like to even own a corvette. ill trade my health problems for your waiting game anyday.

He could ask his dealership for use of the dealer plates they have and take delivery of the car that way until the paperwork arrives.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
