If it is a real option it's has to look great! Many cars are now offering black wheels with machined surfaces, and they look very modern. Here is my favorite....with nice black accents elsewhere on the car.
I have been trying to find a photo as well. I am looking to buy a C7 Base with Machined Face Aluminum, but not sure what the heck they look like. Find it hard to believe there is not a photo of them yet.

They won't be black with a machined surface for the C7, the whole wheel is silver.

There's one guy here who saw the machined wheel on display at some Corvette event but was told he was not allowed to take any photos of it, if I remember correctly. He said it looked similar to the base silver wheel.
I wonder if GM is hiding its pictures perhaps because it looks so close to the base wheel that they don't want people to refuse picking the additional cost option based on pics they have seen.
Either way, now that a bunch of C7's have been delivered including non-Z51's, I figured someone out there may have ordered this wheel and could share pics of it.
Even if you find them, they are pretty expensive for just a polish at 1495...lots of really nice wheels avail aftermarket that are not much more....use the configurator for the c6 at tsw for few nice ones:
The "stock" photos of the wheels I've seen are just regular wheels that looked machined. Doesn't look like there's any black to them. If so what a rip off!
It looks like the base wheel with a machined face:
If the background paint was darker I would have ordered them. But for that price, and looking so close to the standard wheel, I had to pass. I predict for 2015 or 2016 a darker paint will be one of the new changes for that year.
Those wheels remind me alot of the wheels that came stock on my 2013 BMW X-5 50i. The ones that I took off and are now at the dealer with a "for sale" sign on them. They have been there since Jan. of 13 with "no offers". I ended up spending $5,000 for some custom "360 Forged" wheels.
