Default Performance exhaust settings?

I can't find much in the owners manual about the performance exhaust settings. I know it varies with the driving mode selected and is off when in track mode. But is it capable of being turned completely off in the other modes ( off meaning that the valves are wide open)?

Yes. Under "Settings" on the MyLink system, look for Vehicle, then Engine Sound Management. You can set it to only be active in Sport and Track modes (Auto) or "Off" meaning valves are open all the time. So even in Eco or Weather mode, the exhaust note would be killer. :-)

Hi,
Do you still have the link for the manual explaining exhaust settings?

Mine is set to off in the settings but the valves are closing whenever they feel like it. Hear a loud squeak everytime it happens.
Constantly opening and closing in sport and track mode also

Thanks

There is no setting that makes them by always open. The only way to have them open at all times is to pull the fuse. You will get exhaust drone if you do this in certain rpm/load conditions.

"OFF" does not open the NPP valves all the time. You need to pull a fuse to make this happen. The fuse # is different for 2014 vs. 2015. See the link below for the full story.

As mentioned, the only way to keep the NPP valves constantly opened is to pull the fuse. As far as the squeak, mine did the same thing. I put spray lube on the NPP actuators and the squeak is gone. Probably not a long term fix, but it has not come back since I put it on two months ago.

I will be getting NPP mainly for the look of the 4" pipes and there will be times I will want to drive in sport without the loud exhaust. I presume the "stealth" setting will allow me to do this. Am I correct?
