You really think this kind of quality control is acceptable on a brand new $55k car? I mean, wasn't his car sent to Nashville to have quality control fixes done specifically? What did they do there then?
Yes, this dealer sounds like they're doing great at trying to correct the error, and as a respect the OP isn't throwing their name out there which I agree with. But... as already said, what about the problems you cant see that will rear their ugly head down the road?
It's real easy for us to say "meh no biggie" when its not ours on the line.
I would not accept this car. It has been overly damaged and underly inspected (except for the dealer). If there are issues that can be obviously seen by anyone taking the time to look, what about the things that need some effort to be checked. Kudos to the dealer, and to the OP for having the sense to say no way.
My hummer was fixed wrong n screwed up by
Carnegie hummer in Cleveland oh.
They knew nothing !!! GN didn't care not even
A complimentary oil change!!
Even the first oil change was wrong I pays for ! It was supposed
To be synthetic it was regular. Total fraud liars
Gm was so pathetic. It went on a file. Big deal
Loser GM !!!
I have had GM step it up on my ZL1 Camaro and my H1 Hummer. GM bought me new tires for the ZL1 this year when I complained about the tires going bald after only 5000 miles. Goodyear had sent out a memo stating tht the tires were not safe to operate under 48 degrees and the car should not move or even roll the tires at 28 degress because the tires will crack. I had a copy of that memo being sent out to GM and all Chevy dealers and it was never disclosed to the consumer . Hey did anyone ever think that it is always 48 degress or colder in Atlanta in the winter. That car was sold by GM as an everyday driver with no disclosure about the tires.
The H1 was bought back but I guess it was AM General and not GM
No telling what this will accomplish. At least it is on record.

I would be pissed too and expect they fully fix the car and do something in addition to make it right but I would personally take it. I guess it comes down to whether someone really wants the car or not. Also, where I am, it would be another 6+ months to get another
Did you actually see the scratches and broken items yourself? If not, I am wondering if the dealer misrepresented them so you would not want the car and they could sell it for more? (Hopefully thats not the case).
As for the dirt that you did notice (probably from sitting uncovered in Nashville), GM may have assumed that the dealer would wash the car before you ever saw it.
Another thing I do not understand. Would you put a car cover on your filthy dirty car? Would that not only scratch the car. Someone was not thinking. Maybe it was because of the government shut down. Did GM ever pay back or buy back the stock that the we the people bailed them out on for pennies on the dollar.
I think your car might of already sold. I was speaking to a gentleman last night who had just left Jim Ellis after looking at black on black C7. I believe he mentioned someone was trying buying it while he was there.
I know I am missing out, but waiting almost a month for a car sitting in Nashville for QC and it shows up in this condition. This was not right and I do not want to give them my business for now. I have bought too many cars in my lifetime to put up with this kind of crap. It is a great car but I do not do business like that. The QC was a big secret and we all waited for weeks to try and find out why they were being QC in Nashville. If it showed up in Atlanta like that, just cannot imagine how it looked when it got to Nashville.
Buying an auto like the C7 Corvette, especially with your specific specs, is a very emotional experience for most Corvette enthusiasts. I would feel exactly like you do and not buy this particular C7. It's not about the bad things you do know about this car but rather those things you will never know or only find out if something does go wrong later on.
I do hope you finally do get your C7 in the future. There will eventually be dealer stock to inspect, probably sooner than currently projected. Although not to your specific specs it should be just as rewarding an experience deciding on the right one. Picture yourself standing in front of 20 to 30 C7s on a lot, each optioned differently. Then taking hours to pick out yours.
Otherwise, order another C7 when thing calm down a little bit.
Good luck selling or trading it in. After you owned it for a few years And it fades you won't get the true vale for it.
It's a new car,,, looks like a used car... Jus say'n..

This was also my thought. Think about it. They could also want to delay things to have it sit in a showroom to get orders.
As for issues with a new car I kind of don't mind things that can be fixed because you sort of bond with the car
You show her love. Nurse her back to tip top shape and she becomes your race winning stallion. Kinda like the movies you know hehe
I promise this is a very true story. I do not want to name the dealer that is going to sell it because someone will love the car when they repair it. I just know too much and would always wonder WTF. This was as sloppy as it gets. I drove a friends Stingray 2 nights ago and it drove awesome....fast as hell!
all I can say and think is, this is all transportation-related. it has, imo, nothing to do with the plant, and I'd bet on that. if you don't want the car, I understand but it is not Chev or BG's fault imo. I also have no idea how a fully-covered car could arrive that dirty. a pic would help.
Sorry to hear Chuck. I also learned yesterday that someone received his C7 with the rear hatch glass all shattered. Supposedly the car was vandalized while in transit. He is going to take delivery though.
Sorry to hear. You need to do what you have to do to make you feel right. Could just be a simple fix and it's good, or maybe a sign of what is to come. Tough choice. No right or wrong way to go .
The paint is the problem fixing the broke interior parts not. No after market paint will hold up they either don't put flex agent in the paint or over do in either case one tap and it will star crack every which way. I would pass also for that reason alone, but would want to see if it can be buffed out first.
