Even a heavily loaded Boeing 777 which is basically a jet powered glider is going to be rotating about that fast, and the T38 doesn't have any wing at all. But the Talon makes a terrible airplane to get aboard ship.
How was the straight-line stability? My Z at that speed is a little antsy.
130 mph should be super easy. Not even noticeable. I was about to ask if you had modded your car, but then looked at your profile. My humble theory is that the GM engineers know what they're doing, so I'm not too keen on modding.
Odd... my base '07 C6 - A6 - is steady as a rock at 140.... car is my DD, has 121,000 miles.....
same here. My 09 Z06, 145 on a straight secondary road; the car is planted, rock solid. No different than driving at 70 MPH. At 162 on the straights, on the track, it is still planted, and at 145 in the 36 degree banked corners at WOT, still planted.
Mine didn't feel anything other than rock solid until over 165 mph. I then sensed slight "float" feeling in front and lifted instantaneously with shot of "scare" in me and visions of airborne back flips (ala drag boats) racing through my mind
There has to be one baby liberal in each speed related thread that cries...
I'm a liberal and, I go fast - Political affiliation assumption fail. Being a sensible lame has nothing to do with political leanings.
With that said I look forward to the Stingray - I thought 130 at the very top of 4th with no effort and, lots of pull left in 5th in my HR 350Z was pretty damned impressive.

There's a rural 4 lane parkway in south Fulton that's a 11 mile long straight way, clear line of sight and only 2 traffic lights. It's a great place to observe the posted speed limit. Lol

T38s don't land on ships and VR on a 777 is less than 190.
Anybody running their 7 in the Texas Mile in a couple weeks?
Oh, and the comment earlier about the Z cars' stability - they are rock solid well into the 160s and don't start to feel like they are starting to lighten up until 180s.
With the improved downforce of the 7, it should feel every bit as planted if not more.

Thanks for the correction to our aeronautically challenged friends. I believe rotate in a T-38 was 175 knots (not mph so its closer to 190 mph) break ground at 190 and afterburners out of the detent by 220 so you don't overspeed your flaps at 250ish...been a long time (1987) I do remember landing was 155K plus a fuel weight additive. fast Jet little wing and you needed the speed to keep that little wing lifting!!!
