Bose Sound System
Anybody else with the 10 speaker sound system from Bose thinks it is a POS?
The Sony system in my Ford Taurus daily driver is far superior in sound with the XM radio!
What's up Bose?
I expected much higher quality sound!

I think it's "ok", but agree that it's boomy. That being said, I haven't spent much time trying to dial in the sound as I've been having more fun playing with the NPP.

I have Bose audio in both of my cars and I'm very happy with the sound quality. Perhaps a bit more bass emphasis than some systems, but that can be compensated.
I have high-end home theater and a good ear for high fidelity audio and don't understand those who say Bose systems sound inferior. Audio systems are subjective, so get what ever sounds good to you.

Yeah, there is way too much base coming from the subwoofer at normal volume levels. No equalizer that I've found yet, and the volume level is rather tame. I have no complaints about the sound quality itself. I like how to volume lowers when I'm stopped at a light vs heading down the street.

I have the 7 speaker set up in the 1LT and I think it sounds a lot better then the Bose in my 2013 CTS. Coupe . I have no complaints with the Bose in the 1LT. XM or FM. I can turn down the bass for less boom effect. Maybe they over did it with 10 speakers , just saying not sure.

I wonder if the C7 has much (if any) sound insulation in the doors? I know on my '01 I had stock speakers and an aftermarket head unit, and once I put some Raam Audio sound insulation on the inside of the door skin it made a *huge* difference in the sound quality and clarity.

I was really excited about this system. My wife's Camaro has the upgraded Boston Acoustic system which sounds fantastic. The 10 speaker Bose system in my C7 is just ok. Bass at lower volumes is overwhelming, and it's not nearly enough at higher volumes. It's ok, but nothing amazing in my opinion.

Patience....if it's really underwhelming , somebody like subthump.com has done for the camaros , and offer plug and play harnesses so you can mount a new JL XXXX/1 type amp.....

Yea, that is pretty nice isn't it? The music on my iPod sounds really good but guess I'll wait till it's cold enough to keep the windows up and heater on. When I get home, takes a while to get that stupid smile off my face
