Here are a couple decent looking options on my short list should the z51 be out of reach next spring for a 2015 model year. Still undecided at this point but these seem like pretty good quality wheels without the true forging price. My c6 is a base model and fits me just fine, all these constraints have me wondering if I need the z51 or not. Can't wait to see some of these in gunmetal on a c7.
Hey, here's a thought. With enough negative press, maybe in a year or two GM will smarten up, get rid of those incredibly FUGLY wheels on the base C7, and replace them with something better?
BETTER!!
1. Agree that the ZR1 style are really nice. I have chromed ZR1 repro's on my CG C6 coupe and they look great.
2. I also agree that they are a major pain to clean. At least half the time it takes to wash the car is to clean all those spokes. When they are done they are beautiful but my back is killing me.
3. Until this morning, I would have agreed with this thread but I finally saw a C7 in person and the stock wheels actually look, to me, pretty good on the car.
4. I like the Nurbergring's that "Glen e" choose. Those in the polished finish would be a great way to go as would those Motegi's in chrome.
Machine face are the way to go if you hate cleaning. I detail, and they STAY clean. In between the spokes is black and brake dust does not show. And the face stays clean as brake dust avoids this area.
