Any c7 owners gaining positive attention from the younger crowd?

Lot of mud slinging going on here. Waste of life seems a little harsh. I love cars, the 2nd car I ever bought is the '98 C5 I currently own and I bought it when I was 22, and I'm only 24 now. Why? Because I think Vette's look awesome and perform great while still being decently practical. I'm glad the new Vette is getting good press and I'm glad the new owners who can afford them are enjoying the attention: live it up. But making generalizations about one generation over the other is a pretty good way to make yourself look bad. I'll part with this because I think its a good way to look at life:
"Age is no guarantee of efficiency. And youth is no guarantee of innovation."

Until they can make a Corvette I-Phone the majority of younger kids don't care.
Most kids today care about everyday MPG- not 29
mpg in eco mode in a 65k car.
Besides, when 90% of Corvette drivers are over 60- there is no connection to the C5,C6 or C7.
As the Cadillac Marketing manager once said- I lose 15 brand buyers every day to natural causes- not product quality.

The younger crowd has turned to Europe and asia, greatest example is the Nissan GTR, a car that for (when came out) 75k took a massive chit on everything in or near it's class, and required a ZR1 vette to top it...(and still barely did). They have pulled ahead, far ahead, and this is FINALLY GM's response to fight back. They see what we (younger professionals/car enthusiasts) want, what we are buying now, and the future of the sports car.
Notice the Euro styling? That wasn't meant for you.

But I'm always curious about the young girls liking a sports car like that cause I if they did they would buy one for themselves. Instead men dominate the market for sports cars. Hypothetically speaking say I rented a Stingray for a week, and went to the beach and girls noticed me getting out of my car would they say anything to me? Or just think to themselves is he compensating for something?

If your goal is pick up chicks, you couldn't go more wrong than a vette, lol.
Although my girlfriend, her friends and my other friends that are girls think it's awesome looking, they almost unanimously called it a "douche car" haha. ...And we've completed the circle of life back to the "stigma"...

Kids these days don't use cash, either - they even pay for things with their phone. Takes years of experience to realize that anything that can be only be purchased with cash is probably too much fun to be legal.
(That wallet is looking a bit old. Almost as tired as mine.)

I'm 22 and I hate the back design(not just the tail lights, the whole back bumper in general doesnt match the rest of the car IMO). Otherwise it's a great car - I love the tech, the hp, the awesome performance, and they nailed the front end design.. I'm considering buying one myself but I'm going to wait and see what the next gen mustang/camaro offer. Next gen mustang/camaro are both supposed to lose weight, get smaller, and have modern styling.
I'll be considering a C7 in 3 years. Just gotta wait and save up $$

I am one, and I ordered one.
...And to give you an idea, I am a HUGE car enthusiast and i still would have NEVER purchased a corvette in my life if it wasnt for how Chevy designed this C7. Too hard for me to get past the "old man mid-life crisis car" stigma that is GLUED to these cars, not to mention the garbage interiors and over simplistic exteriors. The tried and true LT/LS engines was the only thing left to be desired on the previous gens. I have always been into Euro's and imports, like many young people nowadays.
I have many friends my age that feel the same, they are sold up and down on this car. So much so they find it hard to believe this car is actually a corvette.

Chevy did a hell of a job.
Understood track record isn't great, though.
Everything about this is so wrong it hurts my brain to read.

I'm 35. Most of my younger friends think the C7 is ugly. I only know one person who likes it and he owns a C5, but can't afford a C7.
This is definitely not the place to get a unbiased opinion. I've never seen so much drum beating for a product sans the Apple enthusiasts.
